proper skolars boy is gaz honor! played his 150th game for the 1st team against workington last sunday.
unfortunately couldnt watch tonight due to work but heard the lads put in a great performance, hopefully now a lot of you back home in the heartlands have seen and now realise how much good RL can do down here in London. A strong skolars and quins is a good thing for the game especially given the amount of london players in that team tonight. The club has had some stick this season but the last 3 weeks have shown that with faith this club can become more than the "aussie backpacker" hangout and a real North London RL team, i know for a fact the londoners i've played alongside in the Skolars premier side in the southern conference this season want nothing more!

Skolars were extremely unlucky to lose tonight, they literally did everything right, fitness must of hurt them in the end really.

it was brilliant entertainment with the Skolars playing really well within their limits and showing people how good a game this really is.

Watching the Oldham players blow up was so entertaining as well. They really did not have a clue at times and it was obvious that the teamwork of the opposition was really confusing them.

Except for the 2 bits of powderpuff defence for 2 tries and, I still am of the opinion the first Oldham try was "against the rules" regarding assistance, Skolars were head and shoulders above Oldham.

It's great to hear some good news regarding the Skolars. I've said for a while that expansion is only going to work if we can get RL played at lower levels in new areas, as you can't just plonk top grade sport in an area that it's alien too and expect it to have any real longevity (as with the NFL Europe).
Well done Skolars, long may it continue.

Must admit, I'm not totally clear with the laws around that, but it did just seem 'wrong' that it should be allowed. I can't quantify that, just that I don't think our laws should allow a 'ball steal' from your own player and that a clear pass or kick should always be involved when transferring possession to your own player.

It was a bloody terrible game.
Might as well of been Conference level.

I gather you're used to watching that crap that Keighley play every week but some of us watch SL.
Bet you're one of those who appreciates 'attacking rugby' i.e the defence has holes the size of sticky vickys.. well, you know.

I watch 'that crap' at Keighley too, because it's my local team. That's one of the things we like about RL, the community thing.

The standard of that game was still terrible.
