Yes he has. he got 54 points to West's 53.
He has not broken the amended record taking into account the old scoring system. But his name will go into the record books and rightly so. Well done CT. |

Erm, may I be as bold as to suggest that the "amended record" is the one where tries are somehow magically worth 33% more points even though the same physical event took place, rather than the other way round. On a like-for-like basis, the only valid basis for any scoring record, West beats Thorman by either 53 vs 50 or 64 vs 54, whichever way you prefer to cut it.
