Audience demographics.......but I have no doubt the NRL will get a better deal this time around. Problem is, a decent Toyota Land cruiser retails at about AU$90k whilst a Range Rover Vogue is about AU$195,000 on the road....like it or not, the demographic of your average Union fan differs from that of your average league fan..........advertisers will pay more to get in front of wealthier eyeballs....and your public schoolboy rah rah is deemed to be the wealthier......

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

I meant compared to AFL, does the S15 get more tv revenue than the NRL?

OK...can we first agree that the total attendance for ESL up to and including round 8 is 497,105 which includes an attendance of 60,438 for the openeing weekend in Welsh Wales? 56 games with an average of 8,877. This figure was rather lazily taken from rlHERErl
Opening round of the Aviva Premiership included a double header at Twickenham which skews the figures, but still....over 48 games of the AP from round 1 to round 8 inclusive 525,239 people attended games.......or an average of 10,942.
More "ppl" have attended the Aviva Premiership Rugby Championship than the equivalent ESL rounds. More people, less games and an average that is nearly 20% bigger than League.
So...you are wrong. Still...I am sure you will come back with some attempt at wittyness......but I would suggest that if you are going to issue a challenge.....you do a little more research

Yep. Id counted the WC game. The ap has a higher Agg attendance for the first 8 rounds.

OK. Thanks Joe.
He may annoy some people, but he does know what he's on about with regards to marketing, sales and attendances. Even if it is things that some of us on here don't like to hear. Attendances to membership ratios in oz are quite low. Moreso as some of the memberships clubs have given out to kids are free. It's facts we have to face up to. Learn from and improve, not always point the finger at other sports. Fuçk the other sports. Let's concentrate on our product.

Ta for that.
One of the biggest thrills I get from what I do is "finding a solution" to a problem.
More than the money...which is still nice, I like to look at a problem faced by a client and
Come up with a way of solving it.
The NRL for example has the better product but still needs to SELL it every week. Personally
I would take 10% of each clubs TV money and plough it into a central marketing fund.....I would be helping teams like the sharks get their gates back up and I would also look into a couple of blockbuster double headers getting 90k to games......
...But, unlike some on here, the first thing the NRL needs to do is forget about the other codes.
Afl and union will chug along doing what they do......and so long as they aren't nicking fans from league clubs, who really gives a fu(k?

| Aye, no problem with being wrong
canal+ pay top dollar for the 14 thingy in France, SKY UK fork out equal cash for Union as they do for SL and the dutch beer cup is worth even more to the IRB.........add to that the international weight Union has and yet again, you come across as a small minded sports nazi.....with nothing to add to the debate other than abuse.
....DALLY MESSENGER.....I admire your passion but you really are a fukwit if you think that the NRL TV deal will be bigger than all union club competitions combined.......but then again, I think you already know that
....FEEL SORRY FOR ME You are worth the admission price all on your own Gridiron Boy
