The two escaped convicts who escaped from Armley prison yesterday have been
caught and re-arrested after a tip off to the police earlier today.
In seperate raids both men still wearing their Hunslet Hawks replica shirts were
caught after less than 24 hours on the run.
Lowe was found at a flat in Belle Isle and he claimed a case of mistaken identity and he
was just a rugby league player with the Hunslet Hawks Club, and not one of the fugitives.
He started to do press ups to try and prove his claims but collapsed after two and then
lit up a cigarette. He will be charged later today with impersonating a rugby player as well
as the charges for the escape from Armley.
The second fugitive March was arrested in a public House in York close to Huntington stadium,
where he was found with two York City Knights Rugby Players, and the club coach Dave Woods.
Both men will appear at Leeds Magistrates court in the morning.
