Great decision? I was right all along, you really are a dip.

I agree it was a ridiculous decision but can we be careful of what we accuse people of please? Not in the grounds of good taste you understand. It was indeed a bewildering, stupid decision which tarnished a great contest.

good on him for apologising.
but how on earth can the man in charge of officials make a mistake so hard to make,is totally beyond me and we are in trouble if the guy who runs the match officials can make mistakes like that.

According to Paul Cooke on Twitter, Ganson tracked the wrong man on the replay! Fking useless.

A mistake in the heat of the moment? Understandable. A mistake with the benefit of multiple cameras and views, rewinds, and time? Unforgivable in this instance. Because it was clear as day.

Both sets of fans deserved better to be honest. Hull KR will feel robbed. Hull FC will feel tired of justifying the game to everyone, which they might have gone on to win anyway. Not a fitting end for the game.

exactly chris, its not like he had an obstructed view of anything.
apparently he tracked the wrong man?? how can that happen? even as a dumb supporter I knew straight away to look at where green was when the kick went up but yet the match officials chief didn't?

I'll take a replay at Craven Park on the Wednesday after Hull return from France after there Challenge Cup QF!!!!

Unfortunately this has happened and our sport looks silly but don't worry because unless you're in the small fraternity of RL supporters you wouldn't know anything was wrong with that anyway!

It is worrying that we have the World Cup coming up and decisions like this are being made at a large event.

I can see where Hull fans are coming from saying it is justice but that isn't how justice is served. Hull had chances to win that game out right and threw it away on many occasions. Likewise Rovers had the game wrapped up but instead of keeping Hull locked inside their own 40 we gave easy yards and penalties to help Hull get over the whitewash.

Not sure Steve Ganson needs to resign but I do think a massive review of how these decisions are made has to come from the RFL.

last year a try was wrongly awarded which cost hull the game. this year a try was wrongly awarded which cost hull kr the game. both were wrong decisions and should have been picked up. but the forward pass last year was so far forward it should also have been seen.
people seem to think its ok to win from a forward pass because theyre more commonly missed.
both are as bad as it changes the result

That try didn't win the game last year though. Hodgson still needed to score his to win. This year was not a mistake. It was purely vindictive and gave them the result.

What kind of review are you suggesting? We will always have human error, the introduction of video referees was to eradicate the glaring errors from the man in the middle.

How ironic with all the camera angles available to the viewer that the game is decided by the video ref.

I am never usually over critical of officials. The ref and touch judges have a challenging role and have to make lots of contentious decision which are open to interpretation. Video refs have lots of calls which are far from black and white. Sometimes decisions go in your teams favour, sometimes they dont.

However the decision tonight was inexcusable. Incompetence beyond belief. This was basic stuff, blatantly offside. Ganson has always been controversial but he has shown himself up tonight.

on the field it can be easy for refs to miss forward pass/offside as they are at ground level and the game moves fast, but with video ref it should be much easier, and with the centre line to use as a guide it was an horrendous decision

Yep. If the on-field ref had missed a player being a metre or 2 offside then I think you've just got to accept it as one of those things. With the video ref its inexcusable.

Not seen it as we were too far from the screens at the ground to see properly, but if he has screwed up there's a big issue to be sorted out.

As a Hull fan, I think "hahahahahahahaha" and am just enjoying looking at the table.
