Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Well the first comment was a joke and the second comment was not exactly outrageous. Or is calling someone a cheat outrageous to you? Clearly not, Leeds fans boo Tomkins for apparently being a cheat. I don't see Tomkins jumping into people in the air though, or tripping people up when a try is on the way, or chicken winging, or celebrating a try that was never scored to try and con the ref. I also don't see Tomkins having such shocking defence as McGuire either.... he got boomed for the charnley try. |

I'm a Leeds fan. It was a 50/50 call IMO as the ball was on the floor for 1 frame. In HD terms that's 1/26th of a second. I bed if they went to the VR for all grubber kicks 50% would show separation. It was also obvious that McGuire was going for the kick. That said, I have no problems with the result. The 8 minute period of Wigan dominance after the break won them the game and I thought Finch was a well deserved man of the match. If we play like that though for the next 2 months we will be in with a shout.

All this is due to the ref having the VR and asking him.
If there had not been a VR then it would have been very easy.
The Touch Judge by the incident stood his ground when McGuire went over as he obviously saw the Leeds 6 drop the ball then kick it. It was when Alibert saw the TJ where he was stood and got the reason for it in his earpiece that he went to the VR.
The official nearest the incident saw it as a knock on as did Steve Ganson.
No Try!
