Our leaders did a similar thing a couple of years ago, announcing the Daily Mirror as our media arm for rugby league, the other nationals started reducing column inches after that.
The positive thing is that we are I hope getting decent sponsorship money, but someone down the line "image profile" is going to suffer and the game will have no value to attract big money sponsors who can inject a lot more money into the game.
Do you think we will get to know the true value of these sponsorship deals, or will it be a Woody projected one.'"
I have heard its 800k over two years in Cash and kind. |

How come when Tetley's sponsor rugby union, people don't go "oh they're a northern brand"?
Just some league fans with a huge chip on their shoulder!

| I don't think it's a great sponsor. Tetley's is a drink consumed mostly by old people and the British answer to the hillbilly. The sort of people who live on farms or still think worn leather jackets are in fashion ![]()
A sponsor is currently in due diligence for the Championships. Its a big company too.
