No worries there, the last Leeds player to win MoS was Iestyn Harris in 1998.
And vastman, do you honestly think a top team like Souths with an obsessively professional coach like Maguire would pick 'cannon fodder' simply to keep another player in the squad happy? The fact is that Luke was fairly average in SL, yet has established himself in the NRL. This suggests lots of other forwards could make the transition, does it not?

| here is one for the Wigan fans, Tim Smith has been outstanding this year and i cant think of any other player who has been as good and as more consistent as Danny Kirmond, i know these guys wont get a look in because they are not at Wigan Saints or Leeds but they have been top form this year

Ablett, Burrow, Hall, Hardaker, Jones-Bishop, Jones-Buchanan, McGuire, Sinfield & Watkins.
The only one who hasn't played well recently is Jones-Buchanan. I don't think his performances warrant a place this season compared to other second rowers. The rest I really don't think are unreasonable selections, most have been good for Leeds behind an often beaten pack.
As for MoS, I think Tomkins should be the front runner, but then I think Finch has been superb for Wigan, Westwood has been devastating for Wire, and I'd throw in someone like Remi Casty as well.

| Thouhgt the title was 'Man Of STEEL'? Tompkins isn't steel as he doesn't like to be tackled.
Has to be Westwood or Roby or Oliver Wilks all 3 not scared to tackle or carry the ball.

| Does anybody in RL like to be tackled? Isn't the entire point of this game to avoid being tackled?

| I think its already been said but if the award was titled "Best Player", Tomkins would win it hand down, but its Man of Steel i think the award should require that something else
Westwood
Hock
Roby

That's probably the thickest thing I've ever read on RLFANS.
Embarrassing.

| Can Tomkins really even be considered for this now? I didn't watch much of Wigan early in the season, but I've watched all of their recent televised games and I'm struggling to think of a game where he's impressed. He was shocking against Saints, just seems his form has disappeared.
Scott Dureau all the way, best player in Super League by a distance.

| Tomkins' form has dipped recently, theres no doubt about that. Roby and Westwood may get a look in because of this, but I still think Sam has a good chance.

| Tommy Leuluai for me, esp with the way he sat up and smashed his water bottle down in frustration after breaking his leg
