Wigan are running hot right now, great to watch and have a genuine chance of winning silverware this year,as do 3 or 4 other teams this year i think.
But... im relectuant to get carried away as the same thing happened last season with Warrington who looked awesome for most of the year only to run out of steam.
I'm just glad we're back to playing top quality rugby league.

Wigan are on fire this season, Tomkins is a pleasure to watch. It will be interesting to see how they go next season if they lose both their h/backs though.

Not saying there isn't. Still doesn't change the current scenario where the Australians don't seem to be interested in signing many backs from super league.
Isn't hall on a big contract @ Leeds so no going anywhere? |

Tomkins needs to test himself in the NRL to find out if he is world class standard, in attack he is excelllent but in defence he is only average. In the NRL I would suspect there would be less gaps and one on one opportunities, in defence he would probably be under pressure from a more skilful high ball with a boom tackle a split second after he receives he ball. He,s got it too easy in superleague at the moment.

Slater is awesome, granted, but he's more of a genetic freak than Tomkins. Tomkins has more rugby nous.
Cam Smith, for me, is Tomkins' closest challenger.
I've said Tomkins is the best player in the world since this time last year. I've never seen a player such a cut above the rest of his peers.
