Sadly, when England play Australia, we will need the fb to make tackle after tackle.

Change it to the above and I think you're onto a winner.

I would say he is a bit too inexperienced at the moment, another season then maybe.
I would go with Fox and Hall, despite fox having a poor game appartley (didnt see it) he has still been pretty good this year and deserves his chance.
Briscoe also deserves a chance as well with his form this year.
Centres are the main position that worries me, the lack of quality is shocking, even worst if Senior has retired (has he?). If Craig Hall can have a season next year like he finished he could well be the England centre this time next year, has more potential then any other young cente in the country.

| Also most of the teams mentioned dont have a player who can kick in field.
That is why I would have Sinfield at 13.

| If we ever bring Great Britain back Elliot Kear seems the more promising aspect than all them put together IMO. Saying that it’s a shame smiths going to Union because he was one of the stand our English players towards the end of last year!

| Personally would go for Cudjoe
Briscoe is just a solid FB, offers nothing that would scare the aussies or Kiwis.

If that's what we're after we might as well have a thread for every position!

| Perhaps we could gamble and go for Kyle Eastmond at full back, he might turn out similar to Matt Bowen

| Owen is good but I rate Briscoe more. I would defo have him as FB insteas of Wellens.
Shenton was pretty anonymous last night, as were much of the cas side unfortunately. Saying that though, he is a class player, and should be included in train on squad, but on current form I'm not sure he is the right choice for a starting 17.

| Sean Briscoe, Richard Owen, Ritchie Mathers hopefully they are all in front of Paul Wellens when it comes to the England Squad, The World Cup was enough to show that Wellens is no longer an International Full Back, Just a shame Lee Smith is going to Rugby Union...

| I can see where everyone is coming from with their various opinions, Pryce, Briscoe, Owen, Wellans etc all have their arguments but I cannot believe people are even mentioning Richie Mathers. He is by far the kackest FB ever. I would rather have Paul Atcheson at FB.

| Having seen Briscoe all season up against all his rivals for the England shirt, their isn't one of them that has bettered him in 2009 for consistancy. The only FB that I have seen that are level or better are both overseas, Webb and Hodgson.
