| I'm reasonably happy with the squad if O'loughlin is fit I would have used Sam Burgess at Prop but looking at the make up of this squad he will be in at second row IMO.
I've been a big fan of Crabtree but I feel he got showed up in the playoffs, he didn't make any real impression going forward and looked slow and pretty lethargic in defence and I imagine that is why Anderson choice to not give him as many minutes as during the regular season. Hill is an outstanding prop and although Mossop flatters to deceive at times this last 6 week he has been in top form, he's really taken it up a notch.
The Huddersfield player I believe who is unfortunate to miss out is Ferres, he's kicked on big time this year and in the big games has looked strong and a real go-to player. I'd have him in the squad replacing T.Burgess.
I'd also have Ratchford in the squad before either Hardaker or Briscoe and Myler instead of Chase.
My team I choice would be...
Tomkins
Hall
Ablett
Watkins
Charnley
Sinfield
Myler
Mossop/Hill
McLlorum
S.Burgess
Westwood
Ferres
O'Loughlin
Roby
Graham (Used in the same way the Bulldogs, on after 20 mins for majority of the remainder)
G Burgess
G Hock
From the selected 17...
Tomkins
Hall
Ablett
Watkins
Charnley
Widdop
Sinfield
Mossop/Hill
McLlorum
Graham
Westwood
S Burgess
O'Loughlin
Roby
Hill/Mossop
G Burgess
G Hock

| So, this "all English" SL Dream Team that was announced a couple of weeks ago.....apparently only 4 of them are actually good enough to be picked in the 24 man England squad.....

This is a good thing isn’t it, it demonstrates the depth of players that we have to choose from now
Anyway, of the 9 not selected, for various reasons Peacock, Brough and Lineham were not really in contention

The Super League Dream Team is selected by a panel of the sport’s broadcasters and journalists in a secret ballot and represents the form team of the Super League season -
and we all know what we think of the opinions of RL sports broadcaster's and journalists, as expressed often on this forum.

| Well from the squad i'd go for
Agree with all of the above. Interesting to see who the starting hooker will be and if he uses Roby as impact.

| That squad is spot on. There is a lot of cover in there.
Burrow is selected to cover any injury to Sinfield. Burrow's in play and goal kicking has been very good this season when called upon. Briscoe is a decent replacement for any injury to Charnley or Hall. Great cover in the pack all around. Then there is Hardakre who can cover a couple of positions. England can do some damage in this tournament, what they can't do is play conservatively and defend themselves to a win. As pointed out we're too weak on the flanks defensively to shut Australia out, England need to fight fire with fire and not be scared of them.

| T Burgess, Briscoe, Burrow & Hock are names I'd have left out.
Kirmond, Ferres, Ratchford, Crabtree, Myler, Smith are unlucky to miss out.

| A generally strong squad and not too much to disagree with, although I would have had Crabtree over Tom Burgess and picked Lunt over McIlorum.
Very surprised that Widdop's been included considering that he's been out for the past 3 months after dislocating his hip. He's a quality player but there must be questions over his fitness.

There is a few unlucky ones like every year, but this selection makes sense. Burrow has had a better playoff series than Smith. If no Briscoe then who else can cover the wing without playing someone out of position? Hock has the added fire within him and can make something happen when needed unlike Ferres and Kirmond. Crabtree is desperately unlucky. Myler & Ratchford, sorry guys but we have your positions covered.

Pretty much in agreement barring Burrow. I like him. He's in for me.
