It appears the Aussies, or at least those from Chorley want the game to go as the NFL has. Play the sport in one country and then you can call yourselves World Champions. Simples.

Australians have started playing sports other than rugby, cricket and, er, synchronised moaning. As a result, they've started sliding down the Olympic Medals Table, Cricket world standings and are no longer RL world champions. On a wet day in Wigan later this year, they might be humbled. (I said might).

Exactly what I was thinking.
25,000 against Australia? We should be playing in much bigger grounds for this game. Especially since it's a one-off. |

If you can give me a decent coherent argument as to why it's not a good Idea, I will assume it is you that is stupid.
It will generate very good publicity for the game and add a little extra spice to the occasion, I realise that its the only major trophy that Australia now have and wouldn't want to lose it, but I thought we don't have a chance of beating you anyway so why not put the trophy up for grabs? |

I agree with you in terms of here in Australia, but I think that in England the International game could be really important to grow the game there.
Putting the Ashes up for grabs in a one off game will bring quite a lot to the game and the interest would be far greater. Having said that all of that is pointless if England turn up with the same attitude as last year! |
