David Bishop's two footed challenge on Charlie Mc Allister which broke his jaw, and more or less ended his career. Charlie was never the same player after that. Bishop got a lengthy ban.

quite rightly they didnt show it, as they didnt show many replays on SKY - we dont want incidents like that being highlighted to the world when we are trying to promote a family friendly sport. |

funnily enough, the one that really stuck in my mind that night was the assualt on Gilmour earlier in the game. It was only when I got home and watched the tape that I realised he had done the same to Long.
Willie Mason on Long in the Tri Nations was pretty bad.
Never seen the Sonny Nickle one, but I believe it was a shocker.
Goulding on Cowie wasnt that bad, no injury resulted, it was only made worse by the fact there was a 20 man brawl live on BBC1. |
