Just wait for the all new 10 team super duper league, the frequency will increase further
Although, at least you wont be playing each other in the final

Huddersfield 2k
Salford 2k
Wakey 2k

London/Catalans 1k
Locals not into RL 0.5k
And thats me been very over optimistic.
Hull FC have sold the most @ 3.5k, not long left for any offers from clubs and most people that are looking to go have already made the decisions and planned.
I also think the RFL have brought it to the M62 at a last ditch attempt to make it work; i see this been the last of these magic weekends and something else thought up.'"
You are well out on this as Huddersfield are currently the 4th highest in sales. So some of the clubs you mentioned have not sold well or alternatively |Giants fans have come out in huge numbers.
Just as an aside we have sold over 1000 tickets for the Ctaalan game in France this weekend.

| Quote: super_fc "I think even those figures are very generous. Obviously some people will choose to make a weekend of it but the vast majority will just buy day tickets and go and watch their respective clubs, which in effect is just like travelling to a normal away match (something two thirds of the clubs in super league dont do very well). Also each match is televised which will inevitably affect numbers. I anticipate poor attendances on both days.'"
Really? They make a combined total of 32k, which is what the Magic Weekend in Cardiff achieved each day.
I think there will be more people coming than any other Magic Weekend, but less people making a weekend of it so it may even off again at around 32k per day, but personally I reckon 40k should be achievable.
If you can't get at least 5k from the likes of Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Salford for a game on their doorstep (a derby game at that, which with a cheap ticketing structure should be getting at least 10k) then you really need to be looking at the reasons why they aren't coming. If Harlequins and Saracens can get 80k for games taken to bigger stadia, then why on Earth aren't ours turning out?
Personally, I reckon we'll see a surge of tickets sold in the week before the event when local fans are making their minds up whether or not to go.
Wigan, St Helens and Warrington should be getting towards 10k each on their doorstep.
Leeds and Hull around 6k.
Salford, Hull KR and Hudds (in their form!) around 5k.
Bradford and Widnes around 4k.
Wakey and Cas around 3k.
London and Catalans around 500 each (although Catalans usually travel well to these events).
About 1,000 neutrals.
Really, they should be selling out each day with it being right in the heartlands and at most 40 miles away from 9 SL clubs.

It looks as though FC are going to be the best supported team over the weekend if current sales are anything to go by, and I'd expect our following to be around 5-6k, so I think your been VERY optomistic with those estimates. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I arent expecting a huge turnout personally (although I'd love to be proved wrong).

So im pretty much spot on then actually arnt i, hudds will take another thousand on top of what i said and another team will bring less. In total i still with im been very generous with those figures.

I expect there to be a late rush from the NW clubs. With it being so close, many will leave it until last minute. I'd be surprised if there weren't a lot turning up on the day.

The Salford game isn't a derby, but I'd think that almost all the season ticket holders will be going (not that many, to be fair). Salford ST holders get either one day or both days free entry to MM depending on the level of membership (don't ask). This was in place before the venue was announced, so being so close was an unexpected bonus. There would be more walk up Salford supporters going had we been playing a team we had a realistic chance of beating, or at least matching.

Yeah, sorry I didn't mean to say Salford were playing a derby. I wrote the sentence about the other 4 NW teams and then remembered I'd missed out Salford (and forgot to change the rest!).
Bit unfortunate that you've got an inform Huddersfield team. But the game is right on your doorstep, so you'd imagine that the vast majority of your supporters should be going (especially if it's free to season ticket holders). How many season ticket holders are there at Salford?

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| I think late Sunday will be the best atmosphere of any day since the Magic weekend started. Leeds v Bradford is a great appetiser for Wigan v Saints and most supporters will stay to support Saints against the crybabies. Having said that, the Bradford fans might want to get home before they have to pay the babysitter another couple of hours. You know what they're like in "Rita, Sue and Bob too" land.

| I was going to buy my tickets a few weeks back but didn't because the website wasn't working. Then the Bulls announced their financial problems and I've been holding off just to make sure that the Leeds v Bulls game actually takes place. Should be ok now but I reckon a lot of Bulls fans that pledged will try to get some money back by giving the weekend a miss.
The Bulls situation raises a potential issue with Magic Weekend, if a team cant fulfill its fixtures. Normally the matches played by that team are erased from the records, but what happens to the team that played their Magic Weekend fixture against the team that goes bust? If the Bulls fail to fulfill our fixtures (which is still a possibility) Leeds will end up playing one less fixture than everyone else. I cant see how that would be resolved.
