| Quote: gutterfax "Yet another HKA fan who makes a sweeping statement regarding the London SL franchise?
If you are referring to attendances, then well done...you have stated the obvious.
If you are on about performance on the field.....Quins are towing the line with regard to development of local talent and overseas players....whilst HKA have no kids in the England Academy squad, had no players in the Senior Squad for the 4 nations, are relying on 10 overseas players for 2011 and are surviving only on the generosity of their backer.'"
Blah, blah, blah, nothing to do with the franchise or what criteria you manage to fulfil I just think your playing squad is s**t!

| Saints haven't finished out of the top 2 since Millward got the boot and I don't expect a much strengthened Saints in 2011 to be any different.
If Saints get a decent run with injuries I think we have a great chance of cleaning up.

| this time last year. the predictions looked alot different to how the eventual table finished. only a couple of people chose wigan to finish 1st.
it looks as tho people are looking at what happened last year and making predictions.
yet again i think that its getting even more of a level playing field give or take a couple of teams and i can see a couple of top 6 fringe teams doing really well and maybe surprise a few people. bradford being one of them.
also i see warrington being strong along with huddersfield.
i see top 6 as being
wire
wigan
leeds
hudds
bradford
saints

| Think saints have brought in some good signings but the loss of the leadership of KC and playing away at Widnes might take them a few weeks to get into the swing of things.
I think warrington and wigan will be up there too and bradford perhaps making it back with the big boys with lots of new signings, MP coming in to steady the ship. Excited!

| I just can't see, as much as I'd like to, Bradford being a big power this season, but please correct me if I'm eventually wrong, 7th highest for them.

I wouldn't be too disappointed with 7th, especially with a tenth place finish last year.
Its all about improvement, that's all i'm asking for. I reckon if MP gets the team to gel, we could challenge for top 6, top 4 is too bifg of an ask with the changes in personnel imo.

| Yeah, you're on the way to a good set up, but you don't have it quite there yet.

Fair enough...and I think your squad is FULL of s**t australians.....and you are still 15 points away from Wigan.....so you'll win exactly the same as us but having broken/bent the rules on overseas players.....that's the sign of a backwards moving team IMO.

edited.
Harlequins RL squad for 2011 is a tad better than 2010 imo. We will trundle along at the wrong end of the table for most of the season, but will get the usual quota of shock wins......and might be in with a shout of the 8 up to about the last 6 weeks of the season. The Young British Players we use in 2011 will be better prepared for 2012 (if we are still in the comp) and Quins RL will easily make the 8 in 2012......
How do you think Hull Kingston Australia willgo in 2012? How is that player development coming along? Will you have only 8 overseas players in your squad....will any local lads get a chance or will it all be players from other academies?
Good luck for 2011........I suspect a decent start and a cup run will see you in the 8 with a slight increase in attendances.....but yet again, an empty trophy cabinet.

| Its true though.
You cant win SL without 5 or 6 very good local products unless you have a miracle injury run.
A salary capped sport wont allow it

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| Quote: Rupert Pupkin "1. Leeds - Still strong all over the park and have good youth coming through.
2. Wigan - Will be strong again and could easily win things as long as the new imports settle in well.
3. Warrington - Good, solid and strong squad.
4. Saints - Fantastic pack but will need both half backs to stay fit, playing at Widnes may cause a small disruption.
5. Hull KR - A good settled squad, if Dobson and Green gel, then who knows! Looking forward to seeing a mature Willie lol
6. Huddersfield - Strong pack will lead the way for them.
7. Bradford - It feels like for the first time in a while, the club have a fresh lease of life.
8. Hull - Once again a real problem in the halves which seems to have been going on for years now. Berrigan can be key if he is given a full time centre spot but not sure Agar will see it like that. O'Meley has to stay fit as he lead the pack superbly last season.
9. Salford - Same as Bradford.
10 . Catalan - If they can produce the goods on there own turf then they may climb higher
11. Castleford - The loss of Shenton and Westerman will hurt, I also think some still question Matterson.
12. Wakefield - Cant see Kear being able to get something out of this season with the current squad.
13. Quins - Club dont seem to be going anywhere apart from backwards.
14. Celtic - It going to be a long hard season!'"
Leeds top? What have you been sniffing?

Looks pretty good to me. Maybe KR above FC and Quins above Wakey? There won't be much in it.
I might have said Bradford for 8th but the loss of Worrincey will just be too much for them
