| Think it was Steve Hampson playing for the GB "B" side against the Illawara Steelers in 92. Not sure who he hit but remember it was a centre. Bang.

| Dan Stains on his very first tackle for Halifax in 1989. Can't remember who he flattened but i can still recall - at will - the sound and the image of the impact. Monstered !

44393.gif "They'd butt each other like a pair of billy goats and would both look like a mess at the end of the game. I'd often see Billy an hour later sharing a beer with his rival, with both blokes sporting half a dozen stitches in their scones. They were a breed apart, fornt-rowers - blokes like Bluey were proof of that." Johnny Raper on Billy Wilson and other front rowers of the time:44393.gif |

| Quote: Ken Acker "The best collision, rather than successfully executed hit, would have to be Harrogan's attempted hit on Mark Carroll who was returning a kick off. They both got hurt but the Chief came out considerably the worse of the two.'"
that was wha you call putting your body on the line

| Remember dean sampson putting a monster of a hit on a 'fax player, who went down like a sack of spuds, dropped the ball, which sampson picked up and threw to his centre(?) who went over to score.

| Quote: CGD "Some real good ones named.
Really liked Morley's double hit on Manly, Guttenbiel on Catic, SBW on Clinton, SBW on Flannery (there's a better slow-mo available), Wiki on Soliola. They're all available on video stream.
I'll add Wiki on Lam, also available on video at the end of a big hits compilation.'"
That was a monster of a hit.

| Here's one that rarely gets mentioned.
During the second test of the Ashes series 1994 at Old Trafford, Karl Harrison takes a drive in on the far side of the pitch as the camera looks - he hits Ian Roberts like a freight train, Roberts goes flying backwards several yards, doesn't know what day it is and has to leave the field in a right old state. He'd been acting the big man all tour, that shut him up.
Harrison gets tackled and just lies there, laughing at the Aussies.
Wonderful hit, overlooked by many.
[size(I'm sure it's Roberts, it might have been Harrogan)[/size
