I was thinking of a training drill used to do run full length of field passing down the line and back using 7-8 players a time. Think you would struggle to score 34 points (with kicks) in 20 mins. Or inspired full team running through a set of six.

Ps not having a dig at rovers generally as they have been good mostly this year.

Besides, Wakey do bring a lot to SL, we hand 2 points to opposition teams on a nice big shiny silver platter.

love your trolling!

Wigan had about 1/2 their salary cap sat out last night:
Matty Bowen
Josh Charnley
Anthony Gelling
Iain Thornley
Lee Mossop

16 out of the 17 Wigan player British, 10 Wigan trained.

Quote: JB Down Under "Hate to say it but I think we threw that game, we are not that bad even with a number of players missing. Maybe this will be seen more often from the clubs at relegation risk, throw the little hope away games to save yourselves for the winnable home games?'"

Rubbish. There's 4 points between 4th and 11th at the half way stage of the regular season. Had KR put in an effort, that could have been 2 points... with a game in hand.

Any coach or even sportsman who thinks that they can't make up that points difference wouldn't be a coach or a sportsman. It's just pure bull from those that aren't a fan of the new system.

You cared enough to post.

Utterly laughable performance from Hull KR. Probably the worst I've seen in SL

Surely time to reduce the league to 10 teams for next year, as 12 was meant to ensure no blow out scores.

Yeah, the biggest defeat ever suffered by anyone in the history of SL. We should hang our heads in shame.
By the way, 'Regards King James' after every post? Pretentious to$$er.

Every team takes a beating now and then, even the big sides, and all have taken a bit of a beating at some time or other with near full strength sides. Its sport and for the most part sometimes every player hits his mark and its great, but sometimes even the most reliable players have off nights at the same time and you take a caning. To a degree most heavy defeats are relative to the number of regulars missing and the size and strength of the team, although record books and league tables are unsympathetic to this. (surely for a fan of wigan or leeds for eg to be beaten by 24 or so points against a top rival whilst at mostly full strength is relatively just as bad as a well under strength lower ranked team losing by 50+ against a higher ranked team).
Its just unfortunate when these are on live tv as we perceive it to show the game in a bad light, but all sports have blow out scores on live tv so its not unique to rugby league.
I personally find it more annoying when coaches rest players in games they think they will lose in order to keep them fresh for their next game which they think they have more chance of winning. Although i understand the reasons its smacks of defeatism and short changes the very fans the game needs to exist in a professional format.

Rumour has it, Campese could be out for 8 weeks. Hardly keeping him fresh for the next game is it?

My my we are paranoid. It wasn't intended as a dig at you as id read of your teams injuries. It was a general dig at coaches who do this (and most do, especially teams with smaller, weaker squads whether they admit it or not), and as i said i understand why- i just don't agree with it.
I was merely saying all teams get whitewashed and its hardly a disgrace if a weakened side is.

Well, judging by the thread title, it's a disgrace this time.

its just sensationalism. And some peoples viewpoint, just not everybodys. A full strength team throwing the towel in and getting stuffed would be a disgrace
