| Quote: craigizzard "If it was a genuine welfare issue, you would have thought England would have liaised with Leeds and they'd be fully informed, rather than England saying "England Rugby League will work with Zak’s club, Leeds Rhinos, to support him during this period" and then Hetherington saying "Nope. Have no idea what's going on." (rlhttps://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/leeds-rhinos/rlwc2013-zak-s-decision-a-mystery-leeds-1-6213927rl.
So either it isn't a welfare issue and they're lying or it is a welfare issue and they're handling it irresponsibly. Either way, this last couple of weeks has been a textbook example of how not to manage media, and, for that matter, staff.'"
I'm not sure of your point.
It states that they will work with his club. They didn't state that would happen in the next 24 hours.

There is a life outside of RL for some people.

| What have all the do gooders who protected him on here got to say now.
A couple of grand lighter for being ill disciplined. No personal issues just being a drunk and bringing the good name of the game and the country into disrepute.
Well done Leeds in your actions. I hope Salford do the same to coke head.

| If as seems he has been "unprofessional" it's a disgrace. I know these lads are young but this is their job and they are involved in a tournament which is at the pinnacle of what their "profession,". To act like silly kids is simply pathetic and shows no respect to their "profession" , the supporters of the game, the sponsors of the game, including TV companies, their bosses, etc. In short, they show no respect to the people who pay their wages and so why should people continue to pay them? But on the respect front, their biggest issue is, I believe, a lack of self-respect.

It's mad. All they have to do is hold it together for a month then they can go off on their holidays, but no. It is a lack of respect. A lot of people would give up a lot to be in the position they're in.

| I think what is worse in all of this is yet another balls up by the England RL camp in how they managed this. Personal reasons mon derrierre.
If they had said for further breaches in discipline they would have shown consistency in how they got rid of Hock (the correct decision IMO, he dropped a big one and got dealt with correctly). Now they (England RL) look inconsistent and unable to tell the truth. McMasulker should start making his farewells as I hope Barwick can recognise a dead duck when he sees one.

The sun reporting that he was involved in a brawl.
That's all I could read until you have to pay money to read the rest. Anyone have the privilege to elaborate on what the rest of the article says?

| I feel more sorry for the likes of Lomax, Ratchford, Lineham, Crooks and all the others who were potentially overlooked for this moron to waste his chance.

A, what, 23 year old out never playing for England again on the strength of this? I think that's pretty unlikely, assuming he maintains his form. Whilst I wouldn't question Macnamara's handling of the disciplinary side of this affair, I reckon Hardaker will be involved in the England set up for far longer.

Don't know what the article says but the rumour earlier in the week was the squad went home for a few days and when he reported back to camp in Loughborough he turned up with a shiner after apparently being out on the lash and getting into a fight.
