And let me clarify: I pointed out the timing, but yes it's quite likely that the rule change was linked to the Wakey issue, which as I understand it, was about unanticipated tax bills resulting from previous image rights payments - something which could well affect other clubs (and is more likely to explain clubs voting, than "the tea leaves say Crusaders may apply for administration in the future, we'd best change the rules).

by the by, this is not an original thought, the very same point was made some pages back by someone else, without attracting that response - perhaps because some people hadn't yet worked themselves into a lather over tjeir own imagined conspracies )
