I agree, although I think he is good enough and would provide much better impact than most of the England second-rowers he's not English and that should be the end of it.

Without wishing to get into an argument about who is best, forwards aren't our problem. Big blokes will always be attracted to Rugby. Quick or skilful footballers will in mostly be creamed off the association football in the UK. England RU has the same issue, although for them it is exacerbated by a strong preference for conservative rugby based on success at set pieces.
Brebt Webb, Pat Richards, Matt King and Jake Webster should be eligible now or for 2011...
