| Lewis should've been the first forward picked, and absolutely should start.
Gallen should also be starting. Creagh is lucky to be in the team at all, he'd better have a blinder.
I really didn't want Kidley at fullback, but now he's there and there's nothing that'll change that, i'm for some reason more at ease with the fact now. Besides, he'll almost certainly be shifted to give Hayne time at fullback during the game.
It's not a bad team. They're definitely capable of winning if QLD play as bad as they did last year. They've still got a stellar backline and they're forwards are still very formidable, so we'll see.

| Gallen would have been good for a min. 2 penalties.
Damn it. They are waking up.

| Gallen just ran 205m, made 38 tackles and 3 offloads. What were selectors thinking?

I agree that Gallen should be in there but he almost guarentee's QLD 2-3 penalites when he does play and that's the only down side to his game but most players do it anyway. Creagh has been picked for his Dragons left side combination with him, Cooper and Morris all on the left. They've been pretty loyal to the side that won game 3 last year aswell and Gallen didn't play in it.
Cam Smith is out so Matt Ballin will be playing, Thurston has a dodgy shoulder so Bellamy will have his forwards putting shots on him all game, NSW have a great chance but if they lose game one they'll lose the series IMO. I think if they can keep Inglis quiet they'll win bit it's a tough ask. They could do what Barrett did last year although that didn't really help as they still lost.

Get Soward in there i say and start buidling for the future. Kimmorley won't be around much longer anyway so he would have to be replaced eventually anyway.

| Where did Lockyear pull that from - all our yesterdays - simply superb.
Him and Thurston what a combination? We think we can give the Aussies a game!!!
Big raps to Shillington, Myles, Thaiday and Ballin

| Queensland have the series in the bag and i wouldn't be surprised to see it finish 3-0.
Thurston is a freak, how good was he but then again he always is. He's head and shoulders above the rest and NSW simply dont have a halfback who can do what he can.
I dont know why they keep picking Gidley at FB, he's no real threat in attack and you need your FB to be dangerous like Slater and Hayne are and letting Thurston strip the ball was pathetic, it's schoolboy stuff. Hayne was at fault when he kept coming in off his wing when he didn't need to and that was costly but they need to pick a side and stick with it for the future IMO because they get beat with experience anyway.
Next game Hayne has to be FB, Gidley dropped or benched(they'll probably put him in the halves with Lyon so they'll have a FB and Centre halves pairing ). I'd go with Jennings and Idris in the centres, Pearce at half with someone like Sutton or Campese. Bring Gallen back in. they might aswell pick a side for the future and stick with it because they'll lose the series no matter who they pick.

| Have to say Lockyer's contribution was way better than last year. I suspect he's really busting a gut because he thinks this will be his last series.
You can't just blame the NSW halfbacks (I think Lyon's more of a weakness than Kimmorley TBH) - they are completely outgunned in the threequarters. Of their outside backs, only Hayne would/should get into a combined team.
