Just one of those things to be fair. The original graphic mocked up had it down ok so it must just have been someone getting excited spelling out Furniture again (which must have been done seperately to the 'Castles' graphic).

I don't give a shiny e if you worked for a dictionary company.

You proof read things which are important. It's not difficult. If you've seen worse then you've seen bad processes where things don't get checked. There are few words on this thing to check. You'd think it would have been checked properly before it was printed, this is going to cost a lot of money.

A whole season of Wakefield programmes called the club 'TRNITY' or some other mis-spelling.

This mistake [ishould have been[/i extremely easy to spot (especially as there was so little to check), but clearly [iwasn't[/i. The shirt must have been seen by many people, presumably some of them highly literate, before getting into the customers' hands. It's pretty amazing that the error wasn't spotted but the fact that it wasn't supports Vastman's point and makes your response look pretty arrogant.

Or lack of attention to detail. No excuse.

People make mistakes, it happens. I'm sure whoever was responsible will get a decent kick in and won't do it again.

But even on careful reading, some mistakes can be made.
Try this: count the number of F's in the following sentence. Take your time, but only count ONCE, or there's no point.

Many people, even knowing it's a test, and so following these instructions, will get the answer wrong. It's not because they're careless, nor because they're thick. Summat to do with the way the brain works, and proof that making mistakes is actually very easy.

This is what I cannot get my head around. It clearly isn't difficult to spot, so either it hasn't been checked by that many people (how many employees do you think York Knights have?) or nobody was looking for the right things.

A lot of us have to submit well worded letters in every day life be it a CV or a letter to a managing director. I refuse to believe it is THAT difficult to spot a spelling mistake.
