| Hayne's form since State of Origin has been immense. He's going to have stunner of a Four Nations.
Cayless is definitely out.

| If he gets 3 game ban they might not bring him for the 4 nations? Likely he will get at least two, if they are consistent, so he will likely miss the opening game. If he is banned it will leave the door wide open for Slater to retain the FB position then where would they play Hayne?

You're right – I can find no evidence of it. That'll teach me to pay attention to Bill Arthur in aftermatch interviews.

Dewsbury did it from 8th in the 1970's. IN our league obviously.

I don't think it's a given that Hayne will miss any games yet, but i'm pretty sure Slater would be fullback regardless of what happens to Hayne. He's not better than Hayne, nobody thinks so, but that's very likely what will happen.

| Weren't the aussies all slating him this time 6 months ago?

| Anderson is a great coach, always said it. He saved the NZ Warriors and as thanks for that the lazy, gutless players all turned on him because, shock horror, he demanded they put in effort.
So he left.
Went to England to kill some time and play around in the lower grades.
He came back home to Parramatta and they were a mess when he arrived. He worked out what he wanted, what he didnt need....but there was a while there when I think some at the club were wondering about him.
He's done very well, once again and just proven what a top class coach he is. Probably not among the very elite, I think Bellemy is out on his own in that regard, but still one of the top coaches for sure.
He deserves all the success he gets.
And let me end on this.....
Thank god for his couple of seasons in SL. I mean, it taught him everything he knows about the game and he would be nothing without his time coaching scrubbers like Long and co.
