| He was certainly very impressive on Friday, deserved his MOM.
In a way all the focus on Myler might be good for him though as he can carry on developing without the pressure that tends to come onto young players when they are forced into the limelight.
Both are very good prospects imo and hopefully they live up to their potential in the long run.

| Ratchford has a better all round game, than any other young half around at the moment, Can do everything Myler, Tomkins and even Eastmond, Reminds me of Paul Cooke but with pace
Myler good support player, best short kicking game I've ever seen, but lacks in defence, jumps out the line too much which is ok when it comes off, but leaves the outside edge exposed and long kicking game is not the same standard as Tomkins or Ratchfords.
Tomkins from what I've seen, he is not as suspect in defence as myler, better long kicking game, but from what i have seen he creates very little with ball in hand
Eastmond i haven't seen as much off but, looks like he will develop into a very good running stand off, but needs someone to boss the team around, and when not getting his way doesn't look interested

| Well one things for sure with Ratchford, Tomkins, Eastmond and Myler the competition for half-back positions in the England side in the future will be very fierce indeed.

"Myler is a very average player, he has achieved nothing and hey, being selected at halfback for England just confirms he can't play for poop. None of that matters though as he looks to squeeze every last cent out of Salford, who obviously can't match money on offer at other clubs."

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

| The better player IMO with the all round game is Ratchford. Myler does his job really well and gets noticed for being a creative player. It's a great combination.

Really? One of three other Salford fans on this thread has given an expanded opinion of Ratchford on a thread started by a Quins fan. Hardly the same as what you're suggesting.
And no, he's not as good. You can all look elsewhere for new signings...

| I said it last season to a mate of mine, I watched Ratchford a few of times both in the reserves and in first team and I said Myler gets all the plaudits but Ratchford is a more complete player at this stage.
I think he will develop into a fine player and the future is looking bright for sure, with Eastmond, Tomkins, Myler and Ratchford around. They all have different quailities about them. I enjoy watching them all for different reasons.

There's also a lad called Gareth Widdop a 20 year old English lad just signed for Melbourne Storm who plays half back he's got to be a good prospect
