The main difference is the 3 years between them, with Hirst having given SL a good go, with mixed results and Tangata wanting to prove himself and SL level.
Could work out well for all concerned ?

Hirst has been good for us, just a very standard prop. Nothing special but can’t say he did anything massively wrong.

That’s what I thought too. And with Tangata not exactly an upgrade it seemed a bit random at this point in the season.

The roster is perfectly capable. The evidence is there to see.
