Re: Avoiding the MPG. Leeds were handed 2 points against Salford by the ref as Myler cheated to get you a late match winning penalty. Ok so even without that penalty it would have been a draw but that one point would have meant you'd avoided being in the MPG by a single point. Not exactly ripping up trees was it?
Re: Leeds strengthening. Yes you've signed a couple of decent Aussies (tho I've heard Hurrell isn't the same player he was) but you've got an old pack and you've lost your best winger (the only world class player you had).
Re: Wakey. Far more strength in depth in that Wakey squad than you give them credit for and an already huge forward pack reinforced by one of SL's most underrated forwards (Kopczak). I'm sure most SL fans would take Wakey's pack over Leeds' (except Leeds fans of course). Throw in a few backs with pace to burn and if they don't finish comfortably in the 8 then they've seriously underperformed. If everyone on here is correct and the whipping boys are Salford and London then they basically need to finish above 2 other teams. Shouldn't be too much of a problem IMO. Don't think HKR will be in the mix either... yes they've strengthened but in all honesty they were way short of a top 8 team last year.'"
point 1 wow, we only one because a player cheated allegadly, well if wakey had been given a try against us, and catalans had not spent an entire second half conning the ref, and if the ref had given us a penalty against wigan from the head shot on Ash handley, then we never would have been in the middle 8's, if thats the game we are playing, but we where in the middle 8's and only 7 games so nobody was ever going to be 6-8 points clear as it was not ever possible. So no we were not lucky and yes we were never in the MPG zone. but you keep scaping the barrel.
secondly only wakey fans (mostly) do not think Leeds have strengthened well, yes we need a few more and a few will go for next season, but we still have strengthen very well and some big signings that maybe only 2-3 other clubs would be able to pull off. i and most Leeds fans will be happy with a 4-6 place finish next year, anything else a bonus.
point 3 Well we will see wont we, but i cannot see wakey finishing anywhere near top 4 and may scrape into top 8 but are not a dead cert for top 8 like the original poster said. |

Just wanted to clarify that I'm NOT A WAKEY FAN.  I'm a Salford fan chief and having taken another look at your squad yesterday I think there's more chance Salford winning the GF than Leeds getting anywhere near that top 4! That squad is bang average for a club the size of Leeds and I'd be surprised if you made the top 6. I'm happy to be proved wrong though.  |

I know we've got a big strong pack with plenty of depth, but when you listed it out like that & compared to Cas, it's even a bit of a surprise how good it is to me - especially when you can include Titus Gwaze & Yusuf Aydin to that list as well. |
