Ideally one that thinks knees to the head is worthy of a yellow card.

Judging by the noise on tv the fans were getting ready for that authentic anfield atmosphere

| The rules are either a yellow card or penalty try but who knows why the rules were made that you cant have both? This instance appeared more accidental than the Tomkins tackle on Clark in the GF in both neither got a yellow. It's one for the officials to look at.

| It was a decent game I enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to Anfield next week I have a ticket for that.
England impressed me and as has been said, they still have improvement in them. The intensity seemed to ebb out of the game towards the end, for all the field position and ball NZ had they didn't seem to go wide quite enough. It was good from England though.

| Good win, a proper test match. Tough, tight, brutal and tries only coming from excellent pieces of play (NZ's try from the scrum apart)
Yes, we were sloppy at times, but we kept in the arm wrestle. Maybe we are starting to learn how to win test matches under Bennett

| I thought it was a good test match, would have gone up a level if there was an atmosphere.
Overall most players played well, I thought Lomax was very quiet and Hodgeson was poor overall, he needs to stick to being a joker rather than trying to do the halves job too.
Looking at NZ I felt if they had been a little more adventurous they would have won, how much of that was their tactics and how much our defence stopping them I’m not sure.
Good start to the series & I expect both teams will improve for next week.

Although England theoretically had a warm up game against France, that was a very different England side against poor opposition.
I believe that England will improve from today's performance but, the Kiwi's perhaps wont improve as much.
Great try by Gildart to win the game but, the crowd was awful both in number and atmosphere.
It was like a library at the Kcom for most of the game.
We really need to address the marketing and more importantly, the advertising for these games.
The RFL need to involve ALL of the SL and Championship clubs to both help promote the games and sell tickets.
5000 for the France game was poor but, taking account of the opposition, 17000 for today was possibly worse.
Nobody is going to take our sport seriously and the further we drop down the pecking order, the less coverage we will receive etc, etc.
Well done England though, they did well to come out on top today. An excellent win

| T-Mak was outstanding today. No wonder the great Wayne Bennett prefers him to Tom Johnstone. Thought our halves were anonymous in attack but stood up in defence. Thompson and Hill played really well as did Bateman. J-Lo needs dropping though. Offers nothing other than guile

Outstanding? He did ok but Lets not go over board. Very lucky with that brain fart pass at 6-6 and gets dominated in collision unless he is running at a broken field, expect the kiwis to pick him out more next two tests after watching the video back.

The marketing needs a complete overhaul, all they do is spam email and mailshot the existing customer list, no attempt at all to attract newcomers to the game.
And yes giving the clubs tickets to sell for a commission would help, HullFC promote the magic weekend heavily because they keep a percentage of tickets they sell, for todays game ive seen barely any promo from the club because there's no incentive to sell any tickets from the RFL.
The pricing was also wrong today. They were trying to charge 55quid for blocks on the halfway line with no concessions, down to 15quid (with last minute promo codes) for behind the posts. While the halfway line is of course always the best view, at the KCOM there are no bad views anywhere, certainly not a 40quid difference in quality of view anyway. So you had a situation where blocks on the 20/40 metre lines were full but the expensive seats half empty.
I think todays crowd was a reflection of how much RL is declining. Every full international at the KCOM over the last 15 years since it opened has got above 20k with a few 25k sellouts. If Rugby mad Hull is losing interest then alarm bells really are ringing.
