Or the penalty Johnstone won for a “high shot” that was identical to one Taia received on the set before which led to the try before that and started the role that Wakefield got on? All of these things even themselves out over the course of a match.
As for the Taia decision - if not a try, it’s a sin bin for a head shot on Lomax off the ball. I actually think Child gave the try to avoid that decision.
I get Sky want to get controversy, but I don’t think Saints would have won a Sky game this year “if” not for reffing decisions.
Edit: that’s not to say that Wakefield didn’t deserve to push us all the way and played their part in a great game of rugby that I’m sure was great for the neutrals.'"

Saints were on their knees at 26-20 down and looked out of it. Wakefield should have gone for a drop goal when they had that set on their line and put themselves two scores clear. There would have only been one winner at that point so Wakey only have themselves to blame.'"

That is my view too and I was screaming out to kick a drop goal at that point. We can't control the referee and change the mistakes we make, we can however control our game management and for me that was the most critical point in the match from the players control point of view. |

They should have gone for a drop goal when six points up. The momentum was all with them at that point I doubt we'd have comeback.
Nice trip on the covering Richardson in the lead up to Wakey's second try too.
Anyway we felt we had some dubious decisions go against us in the match at their 'ground' so feck 'em.

On a serious note, why didn’t Wakey put the 1 over to go 2 scores up? I was having a text conversation at the time with one of my mates, also a Cas supporter, and we were both saying ‘1 pointer coming up, 2 scores up, game over’. Childs yet again cr@p for both sides. He needs giving some time out as whatever game I see him ref he’s rubbish. How can you check video ref for a ball out on the full but not for a blatant kick of the ball whilst grounding it and a potential double movement? There were bad decisions that went Wakeys way too. He’s a clown. Talking of clowns, how do I ignore Wexford’s posts someone??
