| Dangerous thing is social media and video phones.
There's nothing to stop me finding someone with a known short temper, for arguments sake let's say Liam Watts, on a night out after he's had a few beers. I go winding him up on purpose saying bad things about his friends/family, and then get my mate to start recording on his phone, 5 seconds before Watts cracks me clean in the face and knocking me unconscious.
All the world sees is a professional rugby player knocking out a guy in a pub, with no evidence of what happened before.
Not gonna happen like. I value my nose a bit more than seeing Wattys suspended for a month.

It’s the derogatory, sexist abuse that’s the issue here. Repeatedly calling someone a slut is completely unacceptable.'"
Totally agree with this. I think some people’s response to this is quite shameful, I’m sure they wouldn’t feel the same if it was their daughter/sister/mother that was on the receiving end of the sexist verbal abuse.

So, what action do you think should be taken ?
We could have a public hanging, if that would appease the holier than thou brigade.
His behavior is very poor but it's pretty similar to the 1000's of other weekend drunks and to pretend otherwise is to close your eyes to the world that we live in.
As I said, not good but i defy anyone who had been out in ant city centre not to have witnesses this and far worse every weekend of the year.
Plus, do you know what was said or done before the film starts ??

| Not being reported on by local paper which may mean the girl in question or Macdonalds have made it a police matter? Think of Keys and Gray,David Moyes ect and that was without being as extreme as this.We had a fairly big split over the Minns situation on our page with half sympathetic and half saying tough own fault.Hull fans mainly saying it's not that bad would be saying different if it was Danny McGuire id hazard? For me i actually agree it isnt that bad as long as it was just drink inside him,but abusing a female in her workplace carries penalties nowadays and rightly so.Think nurses in a&e for example.Reckon the club will be trying to sort it behind closed doors but Macdonalds have a zero tolerance policy for offences against their staff. Great player no doubt but somebody should have just got him home and made him a butty

| Whatever I think about what he said seems besides the point, he's not really in control of his mouth.
The point for me is that he's supposed to be a professional RL "Star" but he's there in McDonalds smashed out of his head.
Go out, have beer, socialize, relax whatever, but don't get utterly ****** 5h1tfaced, its unprofessional, disrespectful to the club, its fans, the players and ultimately the person(s) subjected to your drunken stupar.
Spending the night in a cell would have done him a favour.

| ALBERT KELLY CAUGHT IN UGLY, DRUNKEN OUTBURST
By John Davidson Apr 22 2018 7:25PM
Former NRL player Albert Kelly has been filmed launching a drunken, foul-mouthed outburst in the UK.
The Australian five-eighth, who had spells with Cronulla and Gold Coast, is currently playing with Hull FC in the English Super League.
Kelly has been caught abusing a young McDonald's worker in a video shared on social media.
In the video, which can be seen above, he swears at an18 year old girl, calling her a "slut" and a "whore", and intimating he’ll put her on the concrete”
He also threatens a young male worker telling him “he’s not fu**ing about “
Kelly's club Hull FC has yet to comment publicly on the video. Inside Sport has contacted them for comment.
The 27-year-old has been linked to a return to the NRL in 2019.
He previously was sacked by the Sharks in 2012 and then had his contract with Newcastle terminated for smashing a lightbulb in a nightclub.

Genuine question... Was it sexist abuse?
I would wholeheartedly agree with the earlier post stating its derogatory. Does Kelly refer to the victim and imply it an outburst aimed at 50% of the population?
I think there are far too many holier then thou types chipping in on this thread blowing it out of proportion.
Don't get me wrong, its very poor form, but throwing in sexism is not evident from the footage available. What is seen is a drunk being a complete tool.

| It's funny how Kelly is allowed mitigating factors, and Minns's excuse was shot down (rightly so too). Professionalism, both are lacking, they are.

| Personally, if this is found to be recent, as in during his time with us, I'd want him cut loose. It's abhorrent behaviour, you can't justify it. Great player but clearly an idiot. As much as it would impact our season, I'd rather the club took the moral high ground which is something we've failed to do in the past.
