Because if they do it will be a walkover which is not what the sport needs. Without NRL players NZ would be a team of Toyota cup kids supplemented with a handful of SL players.

Agreed. We need to put as much pressure on them as possible to release players for this game, but if they don’t change their arrogant insular minds, the game needs to be called off.

It could be replaced with England v France. This would be more competitive than normal without England’s NRL stars. Catalans are struggling but Toulouse are riding high in the Championship.

The RLPA has refused to endorse the Denver test. Clint Newton took to twitter earlier to try and defend their position, but it’s quite clear who his real paymasters are.

France are crap......without their anzacs nether Catalan or Toulouse would be anywhere near SL.....if the NRL won't release then it becomes an exhibition game.
