The RFL could have shown the match a bit of respect by playing it at Huddersfield.
Better still Toulouse or Avignon, where they would have attracted a much bigger crowd.
But Nigel Wood, who looks big, actually thinks small. Typical "Little Northerner" parochial mentality.

I thought that the game could gave been in France as well, they always fill the Avignon ground and 17,000 would be miles better than 10,000 plus it just gives this international series a bit of a wider reach. The travel wouldn't really be a problem either seen as new Zealand are using Catalans training facilities so have to fly back to Britain anyway.

A bit like your biased frog mentality, I am posting this from the LSV; if you are there give us a wave.

| 56-4 with 30 to go. The Kiwis had better prep and a sterner test against leeds' 2nd team.

| All this has proven is that France will never be competitive with the big three, and reminds everyone how poor a coach Richard Agar is.

I think they could be a lot more competitive than they are but their national setup is a joke.
They could obviously do with more French players in SL and also could do with regularly scheduled Test Matches v England and Wales.
But the biggest problem, in my opinion, is the setup. Firstly the head coach. Bobble Goulding and now Richard Agar? Seriously? I wouldn't be inspired by either of those 2.
Get a Frenchman in who gives a toss, get them worked up and get a long term plan in place.

Doesn't help when the only fully professional club in your country insists on signing past it foreigners like Leon Pryce and Louis Anderson, meaning local talent has to leave if it wants to get games. It's like the NZ Warriors filling their side with mediocre English players.
