1. The article patently states that he didnt do things the way they shoud have been. Not applying to union, but apllying to the correct sports body for the right to play the sport.......as ALL sports have to.

If that were the basis upon which the UAERU have acted my question is, what's it got to do with them? Surely it's an issue for the UAEs Ministry for Sport, why have the Rugby Union Governing body felt it to be their place to act in such a draconian way. Stamping their feet and running to the authorities, having a very well meaning man arrested and incarcerated because they feel he hasn't followed the correct procedure and filed the appropriate paperwork.

Unless Nissan have gone to the UAERU and made an accusation of misrepresentation by the RL, which patently hasn't happened, then it's nothing whatsoever to do with UAERU!

Let's turn this on its head, if the RL had complained to the authorities that the UAERU had passed themselves off as Rugby League and secured sponsorship from HSBC as a result, do you think the President of UAERU would be arrested and the RU competition forced to freeze its competitions?

The answers obvious but that (in reverse) is exactly what's happened to UAERL.

This is nothing more than the RU establishment flexing its muscles and abusing its position to stifle or eradicate RL from the country. This has probably been brought on by the news that UAE Rugby League were seriously bidding for the RLWC causing squeaky bums at UAERU and they've acted atrociously to prevent RL from getting a foothold in the country.

They were misled because they didn't realise there are more forms of rugby than just Union?
