| Quote Dreamer="Dreamer"This reminds me a bit of when my club, Keighley, signed Joe Grima. Joe was massive for the club both on the pitch and off. He spent a lot of time in schools getting kids down to matches and in local companies raising sponsorship. He organised a convoy of coaches with 1000 kids on a trip to an international at Wembley. I don't think that feat has ever been bettered. I'm pretty sure he repaid the sign on fee many times over.
Fui Fui has the potential to be big for Leigh but first and foremost he will have to be fully fit to take some of the big hits that are undoubtably coming his way. Every chancer in the League will want to be the one to do a "Burgess" on him.
Good luck to Leigh for the ambition, it will be interesting to see how he goes. I might even pop over to Halifax when they play.'"
I think the BIG HITS in the Championship, he will certainly receive, will undoubtedly be the most frightening aspect for him of coming to Leigh and R/L here. I mean the NRL has no BIG hitters therein, does it?
I like the rest of your comment but I do think that he will be capable of taking(not to mention GIVING)a couple of those after so many seasons within the NRL.
I watched the NRL avidly last season and to be honest was a little confused over why he was suddenly considered not good enough any more, as he was doing just the same as he has always done and often with as much impact as he always provided.
Good signing age or not he will add interest to the Leigh side if nothing else and could even turn out to be a good player there also.

| To be fair, I dont see where you can put a negative spin on it as far as Leigh are concerned.

still its a coup for Leigh in the championship and they should be applauded for that'"
It is for both correct. Although i do not see Leigh being a championship club for long. They are getting everything in place both on and off the field, with facilities second to none. A full time operation now as well.

| I reckon it is a massive feather in Leigh's cap beating the pies to his signature.

| He may be “past it” in the NRL, but there’s no reason why he can’t shine in the Championship.
For a club who looked down & out a couple of years ago, that’s an impressive marker to put down .
I’m sure many fans of the Whipping Boy Rabble in S.L. would have been quite happy with his signature.

| One thing is for sure, the set of forwards that dominated the Championship, went toe to toe with Leeds in the cup and has an average age of less than 25 will almost certainly benefit from having this legend in the camp.
Wether its weights, ballwork, banter, intensity or just taking the ball up harder, faster and gaining inches, id like to think all of them will try and raise their own game.
Whichever way you view it, Fui Fui Moi Moi to Leigh makes life in the Championship a whole lot more interesting.

But having Leigh in Super League won't make Super League more interesting and won't help the RFL improve its feeble and deficient revenue stream any time soon. In fact it will more likely hinder the situation. London, Bradford and Toulouse need to be in Super League, not pathetically obscure Leigh, if rugby league is to improve its standing with sponsors, the media, and the general public in both England and France.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Leigh doesn't even have a train station. That will be terribly inconvenient for away fans, most of whom won't bother to show up at Leigh Sports Vilage, no matter how many pies and pasties they have on offer at the food outlets. This is a working class game, and the working class likes to travel by train, not by car!

Why don't you read my post correctly and digest it's detail if your tiny "foreign flat cap" can understand it. Leigh currently would bring nothing to Super League, I could not care less even if it is my team.
My post did not mention Super League, my post indicated an opportunity for my team to nurture youth through experience.
I have enjoyed the last year in the Championship more than any other year prior, partly due to on field success but mainly to the "feel good" around the town.
We play attractive rugby, which I like, we look like a team, which I like, we act like a professional club which I like.
London, Toulouse, Bradford & Leigh are where they are on merit.
Get over it.
p.s. enjoy Carney & Tonga, I know I will.
