I would take most Cas players over their WTW counterparts anyday with probably the exeption of Collis, Sammutt and Kermond - but I would say that anyway would'nt I. Tigers will be back to winning ways this weekend and are well up for this one.

Apart from maybe Kirmond, Wakey dont have the class of players like Clarke, Carney, Shenton and Huby.

icon_smile.gif of course they don't. They also don't have a full preseason together. Wakey have some great players but are needing time for it to come together, maybe it will happen on Sunday. Fingers crossed.

Godinet and mcshane are easily as good as Clarke. Carney is a good winger but with the turning circle or a barge ( better than what we have,I'd still have him at Wakey!) Collis is IMO better than shenton who is having a great season btw. Collis lacks durability and that's the only reason he's playing over here. Anderson has been great for us at prop and is an NRL GF winner, Huby is a big fish in a small pond and never tried to test himself, never rated him. Good beard though. Dan Smith will outshine him in his career as well. Sammut is head and shoulders better than Sneyd. HTH.

This has cheered me up no end, thanks for your comedy musings, mcshane and godinet are as good as Clarke was the best bit icon_smile.gif

Collis is a very good player for Wakey. Certainly with the ball, anyway.

Cas are having a great season but don't think the individual players are top notch. The aren't. The whole is better than the individual parts. A good off season together, few injuries and a good coach does wonders for a team.

Quote: bren2k "Not to mention Eddie and Stevo and their insistence on dissecting every call in a televised match, in an attempt to prove that the referee was wrong; or spotting 'stray arms' or 'stripping' that never actually happened.

I'm not entirely satisfied with the general standard of refereeing in this country - it could be better - but it doesn't help when the focus of TV commentary is to whip up controversy where none exists.'"
I would generally agree with this but when we get decisions like Hull Vs Hull KR last season with no real reasoning (Tracked the wrong player my ring piece) then it does make folks ask questions. When they are not answered with an real clarity afterward either then big question marks are left behind.

Castleford have some very good players, who have slowly worked on their game, before bursting into everyone's mind this year. They do have some players who are average at best, who are playing better than they should, but carney, Clark and huby at least would make 90% of super league teams starting 17, and Shenton, Sneyd and millington (who I think is very under rated) not far behind.

I think every team this year has a couple of players who could go well in any team (for Wakefield, Kirmond and collis spring to mind) which is why we're seeing a generally closer comp this year. Can't see past the current bottom 2 for relegation though.

A more optimistic tone than Mark Moore who decided before he scarpered that Bradford Bulls were relegated after just two games and one win!!

Reality isn't a currency if value at the broncos. We were unbackable relegation favourites at the start if the season and are losing by 30 points a game whilst shipping 43. Saner fans were looking for odds on us not winning all year......Catalan at MM represents our best chance of a win this year, but 5 wins from 15?? Insanity

Yes, and 5 wins wont save the Bronco's, try 7 or 8
