Salford hoodwinked the RFL and so did Bradford. It is clear that both clubs were in deep crap when they submitted their last applications. How many more?

You saying their application had at best "speculative" financial projections?

The simple answer is Salford are not allowed to fold, they are supported until the end of the licence period, then decisions are then taken on how the sport progresses, but not the sham we have seen for the last 4 years

If they wanted to keep the magic weekend then they could easily turn the weekend into a knockout cup.

DAY 1.
The team that tops the league the weekend before the event gets a bye to day 2.
A Draw will be made for the remaining 12 teams who willl then play 40min games (20min halves)all games will be complete first day (6 matches).
Lowest scoring team goes out of the event.
(if more than 1 team has the lowest score, than the team sitting lowest in the league the weekend before the event will not progress to day 2.)
DAY 2.
A Draw will be made with the inclusion of the highest league placed team.
3 matches will take place for round 1 of the 2nd day with the highest league placed losing side to progress to round 2(semi final) 2nd day.
The final will be played as a normal 80min match with the Winners lifting a cup.

No league points awarded, every team barring the highest league placed side playing on day 1 so should be a crowd puller. Unsure of who the opponents will be so no excuse as to not bother going.
As every game bar the final are only played over 2 20min halves then there should be alot more intesity in the games.

So we have some players who think we shouldn't have the Magic Weekend because we play too many games, so what we'll do is ask them to play 2 full games in 2 days. Ok then.

I think your definition of easily is different to everyone else's.

I'd like Leigh or Sheffield BUT based on merit, only Halifax were in a position worthy of being considered for SL at the last lot of licensing.

Replace them with nobody, then relegate another team in 2013.

Leigh are just Salford in disguise. No fans, a stadium they dont own. Fev are too small and their fans are a disgrace. Sheffield have no fans and no stadium. Fax are the best bet.
