Maybe people don't want to go and watch their teams play when their star players are out because of Origin.
Saints had 12 players out on Friday, it was a reserve grade team.
The only teams not affected were the Warriors and Tigers and that got a decent crowd.

Good Point. I agree that SoO will have an adverse effect on teams who contribute loads of players......Brisbane were missing 33% of their average gate and St George 505 of theirs.....maybe the draw should be changed......but I doubt it will be. I Will support my team through thick and thin (and there's a load of thin at the moment)....maybe Ausies are different and will only go if their team are a good bet to win? Would explain Cronullas crowds  |

That's more like it.  Brisbane and Wests leading the way and Only Souths dropping off badly with the 4th lowest gate of the season.
Surely they would have know that pre-sales were slow last week and they could have sent an offer to their 19,337 cap wearing members.  |

Wasn't having a heavy go at the bunnies, but 8k is poor. The doom mongers on the VT were getting all down over a bad week with a 6k average gate in the ESL. Surely a club the size of the bunnies and being the only "LIVE" show in town on Friday in a stadium that offers better coverage from the elements than most others, should have seen a gate double that size. |

How come they are not allowed to declare the Perth game as a sell out? They did shift all 22k tickets after all.

Hmmm....Bradford are announcing their crowds with all ST holders included. Are you saying that the bunnies have 15k ticketed members? Surely, if these people have paid to be there, then they're there! |
