Great game in the end, thought the Roosters were worthy winners too.
Souths had injuries and will hope it doesn't turn into last season all over again but they have to improve in defence. The Roosters looked like scoring all the time, Mitchell Pearce was great with his kicking game. That Symonds looks a good player aswell.
That Pettybourne is a beast but he was full of errors, as were plenty of them. Souths got infront and then concede straight from the kick off and need to get their defence in order to have any chance of being near the top.
As said, unless Souths cut out the errors and work out how to defend their line better they will continue to let in points. Roosters looked likely to score at will in the first half within 20m. At the other end Souths' halfbacks again showed that as a pair they are way behind the NRL's best.
