Quote: GIANT DAZ "And according to the SKY team its poor Leeds this and poor Leeds that and how well they are doing in keeping another SL team to 6 points - not being funny but they are the 3 times in a row champions so they should have a squad and youngsters coming through be able to cope with injuries !! the way sky are going on about it you would think they are a small struggling inexperienced club who are doing a great job in these hard difficult times for them and punching above their weight.
No disrespect to Leeds but most clubs have injuries at some point in the season and cope so why should the current champions get sympathy when they are struggling ?'"

No matter how well Leeds have done the last 3 years their squad is limited by the same salary cap rules as everyone else.

Do most teams have 9 players out at the same time for several weeks? Leeds certainly haven't have an injury spell like this for 5 or 6 years.

Quote: El Pac Carnegie "3 championships in a row

Leeds will get the players back and are capable of winning 10-15 on the bounce. They will finish in a good place and have a tilt at the title again.

Phil Clarke's suggestion tonight that the result tonight against an injury ravaged Leeds side confirms Wigan as firm favourites was pretty embarassing. Being top means nothing at this stage of the season. Wigan, Warrington and Huddersfield have nothing between them.

Fully agree. I know I'm biased but I honestly think that Leeds are a side capable of winning the Grand Final from anywhere in the 8. A full strength Leeds side is feared by everyone in the competition.

icon_smile.gif The current Wigan squad is starting to look like one of the great Wigan teams from about 12 years ago! Awesome.

Why Not?

That weakened Leeds line up defended a lot of sets. Whilst Wigan wasn’t playing at they best they certainly wasn’t playing at third gear as some on the Wigan forum will lead you to believe. The Wigan try area defence was the best thing about them last night that held both rob and Brent up. Not many other teams would be able to do that against Leeds eusa_clap.gif

No they are not!!!

That's what I state about thinking outside the box!

Leeds have been found out!!

They have gone beyond Leeds and their dubious tactics and Leeds just cannot cope at the moment "full strength team" (whatever that is) or not. I watched buderus last night and even he plays the "Leeds way" and that's not his natural game.

Leeds COULD be a good team again with the players they have but currently they havn't a clue.

The opposition know this and have adapted to counteract the Leeds style.

Leeds hold no fear for ANY team in the Sooooperdoooooper league at the moment.

They could but it needs a change and they can't cope with it at the moment.

Wigan never really got out of 3rd gear and played most of the game with only 13 fit players (Riddell was injured 3 times, Coley went off and didn't return, S Tomkins went off and didn't return, McIlorum was injured for a long spell too)

Still a lot of improvement to come from us I feel, all eyes will be on how we perform over the next 2 games. Saints will be a great match, and I feel we'll avoid the potential banana skin against Wakefield.

What do you mean by "found out"?

Please explain

And what do they not have a clue about?

Funny that - most teams missing 9 first team players would right? d040.gif

I'm not too sure about that.
