Interesting that most people "blame" the management/coaches" about a teams demise but not the players,(butter wouldn't melt in their mouths).
From my viewpoint THEY are the problem!!!
Quite simply they are not doing the job they are paid (some cases very well and over) to do.
The action is quite simple if they fail, use the standard procedures as in business, by using all the training, performance indicators, use of disciplinary procedures and ultimately dismiss them if they fail.
They are doing a job like the rest of us and we all have contracts of employment.
That is the way and the sooner the players realise they are not "fireproof" then perhaps they will take it upon themselves to DO the job!!
However there is always an "easy" option and of course it is not impossible to work out the one that would be taken.

The time for change is now, Christ I don't hold any coaching qualifications but I would put down good money that I could get more out of the current shower of **** then what Steve McNamara or Basil Richards have managed these past 24 months.
Im in the notion that there is too much of a comfort zone currently in place at Odsal where all the bad performances are just swept under the carpet and the same poor performing players picked each week.
I would if given the chance keep but only a handful of players for next season going on what I have had witness and endure during this horrific year.
Menzies, Halley, Nero, Morrison and Lynch are the players who are immune to my criticisms as they have given 110% when out on the field.
The rest I wonder if they know the meaning to the words passion, honesty and pride.
There is just no fight in the team and that is what is most upsetting.
I hope that during the next seven days the players take a good hard long look at themselves and think about the supporters who travel week in, week out and pay good money to only be treated to a gutless and heartless display.

wealthy backer
odsal sports village
Otherwise I feel the bulls could lose their license within the next 10 years.

How about players who actually play and don't go through the motions, take the money and run?
It's the teams with those who do the little "extra" that seem to be those who are successful. |

Tough $h!t !!
think this proves what everyone always said that once the novelty of 'bullmania' and bouncy castles wears off and the bulls cant just trample their way to victory like they used to do the families got bored and stopped coming which equalled less money to pay wages for huge,colossal battering ram type players.
I think the Bulls are suffering now because of their succes over the last 10 -15 years and if the fans who were celebrating all that success are real fans they will stay with the club till it picks up again - somehow i cant imagine those dancing housewifes and rucksacks full of goodies for the family for the day out at the rugby will be seen around Odsal much in the near future !

The bulls players cant be entirely to be blame though
After all the current crop are uneniably not as high qaulity as the ones they replaced are they?
Quite simply a team capable of winning the championship was replaced by players from the bottom end of the league
Unsurprisingly those players now find themselves at the bottom end of the league.

On your last point though in the current economic climate it really cant be easy for a family of 4 to spend 60 quid on 90 minutes entertainment.
The husband might go but the wife and kids may be staying home. |
