| TRL fans are reporting that the minority shareholder who has blocked the sale of Toronto (strictly speaking the sale of nothing except a massive debt) to Ricky Wilby is Eric Perez who retained a shareholding after going off to try to repeat the same massive failure again at Ottawa.
Two of the greatest expansionists/visionaries of post war modern Rugby League at loggerheads,fighting over a set of balls, jerseys and a £18M debt.  |

In which case they'll probably not be getting new owners. Interested parties only really wanted the SL license. Not a £4.5Million annual deficit. That there have been monetary offers which TWP have rejected, it begs the question that maybe Newcastle made a significant offer in which Super league may have been happy to let them take the license. So why didn't Argyle take that offer?
He could then have paid the players in full?
Anyway TWP didn't [i"do it right"[/i just buying up a load of Championship players and pretending to be a Canadian club didn't wash and lost the club many $Millions. This is why Perez left to build a club the [uproper way[/u... Erm, oh hang on?? Cancel that.... |
