| Quote: Him "Yes they do.
Yes you do. The money has been lent to you and secured on the house. No one controls or owns that house other than you. The only way the lender could do anything whatsoever with that house is if you did keep up repayments.
Utter rubbish. As FeartheVee says, the buyer owns the house as the deeds to the house state. Not the lender. Otherwise someone better inform the Land Registry and the DVLA to change the name on who owns my house and car.
You appear very defensive for some reason. I suggest you stop with the bizarre paranoia that everyone is against Wakefield and just accept the fact that people are praising Saints for something.
Plus as mentioned by others, Saints own the stadium.'"
Just one small point with regards DVLA.
The logbook/V5 merely shows the registered keeper of the vehicle, the registered keeper may not necessarily be the person who has title to the vehicle.
As you were.

| What a silly thread this has turned into , with lots of symantics and "Technically" I am sure you are all very knowledgable people but it doesnt matter how "technically" we owe money on the stadium or to who , the plain fact is that Saints decide how to use it , they take the gate reciepts , they earn from many revenue streams the stadium generates , SAINTS do , not the council, not any other entity , SAINTS!! so de facto we own the stadium

To own something outright, or "free and clear," is to own it without any liens or other debts attached to it, like owning a car or a house for which the loan has been paid off - to have "clear title"'"
Have a think. Why is the act of taking your house away if you fail to keep up the repayments on your mortgage called repossession?
A house - or any other building - is legally owned by whoever has their name on the deeds and in the land registry. Simples.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Agreed.
My only problem with our stadium arrangement is not that we don't 'technically own the stadium. It is that we don't decide everything that goes on there like you can. We don't have a club shop, we can't use all the facilities at will. We can't have a proper club shop on the site. We don't get the money from the kiosks.
Anybody trying to make out we have some sort of better deal than saints in this case is deluded.
We recover from this through our rent being less than the running costs of a stadium.

We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

Do you get any income from the non-sporting activities at the ground? If not, you are at a significant financial disadvantage as the club's only income is RL-related.

That is so flawed.
You simply do not own your house outright which is the only real form of ownership until the debt is settled in full. Even with one payment left if you were to default the house would be repossessed and sold at auction for a price (theoretically) that covers the payment plus costs. In theory the BS can flog your £100,000 house for £500 if they wished. Though this is unlikely they will accept any auction price that meets the reserve which could leave you many thousands of pounds worse off.
How can you possibly own something that someone else can sell at a loss after as little as 8 weeks if you hit trouble.
Same applies to Saints. I fully agree they seem to have a very good deal and I honestly doubt Saints will ever look back if they are sensible. However they don't as a company or as individual own the club outright as suggested.

| Doesn't that just make it collateral against a loan rather than the banks property?
You agree to pay them the loan back if not they seek alternate means to recoup the money, so they take what ever they can to secure their money back, I'm quite sure if you only had one payment left they'd probably just send the bailiffs around and take your TV and stereo or car rather than your house.

Thank you , a very sensible repsonse , we both agree that Saints and Wigan have differing deals both clubs are happy with what they have , end of
And the thread decends back into nitpicking

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |
