Huddersfield Giants - The team that have placed the highest regard for their regular season finishing position.

It will be a great season for Hudds if they can go on and win the LLS. Unfortunately, I dare say if Leeds, Warrington, Wigan had placed as much importance on finishing top of the ladder, we might have seen a different league table - but the truth is, those teams are accustomed to placing more emphasis on their play-off form - that's where the competition is won.

where has it been stated that we have put topping the league as our highest regard????

quite the opposite if you hear what the coach and players have been saying...we all know the big one is the grand final but LLS is still something to win.

wigan and wire have both come out recently and said how much they want to top the league.

I never said it was Huddersfields highest regard, infact I'm 100% positive that winning the Grand Final is their main focus, but I do believe that they have a higher focus week on week on the LLS than either Wire, Wigan or Leeds. I dont think this is a bad thing for Hudds, and it's a job well done so far - it's still some acheivement to be the most consistent team across the season.
All I'm saying is that the way Leeds, Wire, Wigan approach the season has made the task that little bit easier for Hudds.

Right , so because we haven't had our mid-season slump that everyone expected we're only still at the top of the league with 4 rounds to go because Wigan Leeds and Wire have let us ??

I never said they'd 'let' them - Can you honestly say you think Leeds, Wire and Wigan have been going hard at it all year to finish top?

Leeds - As has been the case for a few years have targetted certain sections of the season (WCC and run in to play-offs)
Wire - Have been very inconsistent with their performances, again trying to peak at the right times. Have rested players on numerous occasions.
Wigan - How many times has Tomkins been rested? What's their win/loss ratio without him?

Like I say, Hudds have had a great season, and it's a good news story for them to have come so far - but lets not pretend they are 'the best in superleague' just yet.

No. I doubt they will win it. My bet is that Leeds will win it again, they know how to judge it just right.

Am sure we will, i enjoyed getting off the bottom of the entire RL once so this is dreamland for a lot of us !

I think that as a wire fan, i think that neither club has had eyes for just the lls, i think that Huddersfield have supprised people with there consistancy. They have done very well to be at the top, and i wish we were there as it does give you a slightly easier run in to the play off's. They have just as much chance as anyone but if experience is anything to go by, i think the GF will be Leeds and Wire again. Both Hudds and Wigan do look slightly edgy in games against the better teams?
