It worked for Wakefield last year, Leigh look to have learnt from that. I think there needs to be a rule like you need to have played at least 4 games senior, reserve or acadamy grade in rounds 1-23 to qualify to play in the 8's. Exemptions granted for the odd player returning from long term injury.

Leigh will have full cap next year so their new signings could just be back loaded.

Just you wait until Leigh get promoted. Every week it's gonna be ''we'll do you, then you, then you guys, then we'll win the grand final, then we'll do you''.

I feel sorry for the handful of Leigh players that have worked hard all season, but will now miss out on the opportunity to test themselves in the four games against SL opposition.

I predict the majority missing out will be the ones who have shown there ambition for SL (2019 at the earliest) and signed for Championship 1 side Toronto. I don't expect to see Liam Kay play for Leigh again
