I agree. I think the advert is great and a big improvement on previous years but even as a Wigan fan I am uncomfortable with just Sam Tomkins, a player that may potentially go to Rugby Union or at best the NRL in a year or two, being the sole focal point and the face of Rugby League in the country. What kind of message does it send if the casual viewer, or indeed youngster playing the game, sees the face of Rugby League, potentially the only play they know and going by the advert and Eddie and Stevo's ramblings the player they see as the best in English RL, go off and play Rugby Union. Adding say Sinfield and Roby would have pushed more players into the national consciousness and shown that Sam Tomkins is not the only good RL player. It also limits the damage somewhat if Tomkins does indeed go to Union.

| Best advert i've ever seen for the game! this adds a whole new level of coolness!
hope they're contacting Rooney, Rio and any other high profile star that loves the game for some follow-up adverts.

Thing we also have to remember is that Sam is a Sky employee so therefore they'd wanna get the most out of his contract with them. Still the best advert that Sky have produced for our sport and like everyone else i hope they build on this through the season.

Quote: Ian 77 Redux "Wayne Rooney and Kevin Sinfield are both very ugly men. We ought to be careful letting them share the same lens in our name.'"
That could be an issue when paired up with Bradley.

sorry, I'd take the internationally known winner of the #1 worlds toughest race saying RL was too hard for him over a spotty teenagers 2 fingered game any day of the week.

| I think Rooney and Rio Ferdinand wouldnt mind doing an advert advertising the GF at Old Trafford. Both big RL fans and obviously having ties with Old Trafford

Agree, it's one of the best adverts I've seen for any sport tbh.

| Just a bump, but on Twitter Keith Mason is fair cosy with Joe Calzaghe, they run a supplements business together by the looks of things. See Calzaghe retweeting a lot of what Mason says, even when Mason is bagging out rugby and talking up league
RFL should really get in Skys ear and make sure they carry through with their concept. There's a lot of people out there who can do the same thing whether it's for next season, or just something fresh say in the lead up to the play off games or world cup

| Calzaghe retweeted the idea on Twitter. Guess its on Sky Sports on whether they want to continue with that style of advertising, seems there's a number of athletes out there who are keen.
Profile of people like Calzaghe and Ferdinand is huge. Especially Calzaghe, what with the whole expand into Wales idea.
