| Quote: Damo-Leeds "I’m going for Pat Richards as he’s been fantastic for Wigan this term. No doubt the best winger in super league at the moment
He’s also turning out to be the best Australian player ever to play for Wigan and that takes some beating considering the history of the club. Thing is Richards is like this every season. Only he seems to be doing much better with Michael Maguire in charge. Hopefully the end of season stats will back that up
In another thread you said you havn't been watching RL that long yet you are willing to suggest that Pat could be our greatest aussie ever.
He is nowhere near some other aussies we have had.

Thats your 5 man list right there.

Brilliant strike back rower, would absolutely love to have him at Saints.

If it wasn't the players voting then I would agree but the players will notice alot more than we do.

Does that include the france game this season? Tomkins got 4 tries and 2 assists I think.

SL games only mate. No challenge cup etc or would favour Richie too much. Including the England training session it would be still only 1.33 for Tomkins. it's a tongue n cheek comment in all honesty. Just proves to the people who slated Myler when we signed him that he's better than people think.

Perhaps you should do stats for games Myler has won against Tomkins and Eastmond?

| I can't see past O'Loughlin (though that could just be the big hair).
He's been immense for us this year - I'm of the opinion we would have beaten Saints with him. His defence is absolutely outstanding, including some nice big smashes, and his hands through the line are fast, safe and creative. His kicking, although not utilised as much this year, can be superb. He can fill in at 2nd row, loose, centre and in the half-backs. He is also increasingly vocal, talking to his own team and starting to take the opposition on verbally.
His one weakness is penalties. Gives far too many away, but then when you're involved in so much tackling and see so much of the ball I suppose your penalty count risks creeping up.
Pat on the other hand is Mr Reliable (except for taking THAT pass on Sunday). His goal kicking is immense, he's as safe as houses under the high ball, takes the ball in like a second rower and has pace to finish tries and the height to outjump most wingers. But he does it in spells whereas Lockers is also a workhorse and will graft non-stop in defence and attack for 80 minutes.

I realised it was tounge and cheek but I thought it was for when they had played for England....
I think you have done a pretty fine job of showing that stats don't always tell the full story.
I can't wait to see Tomkins v Myler in the 'big one'!

| Monas does soooooo much for us as a team, he controls everything we do. Stats are a good indicator but do not tell the full story. For years we were a
1 man team, stop briers and we were stuffed. Monas takes so much pressure off us and makes us a much more balanced team enabling myler to develop without too much pressure.

| All 17 Salford players have just completed their voting slips and put a big x next to Leon Pryce's name. Sen-bloody-sational tonight. The best performance ever by an individual in SL I've ever seen. An absolute masterclass.
