| Quote: Dico "How does that relate to profit though.
Hypothetically if they're giving tickets away for next to nothing then they aren't making any money. I dont remember reading about their books recently.
We at Wire need an expansion, losing a quarter million a year we could definately add to our gate'"
Who is giving tickets away? 4,000 tickets were bought by sponsors.

| Quote: Adeybull "The Marketing Director came from Bulls. Goes to show what he has been able to do with a big marketing budget.
Those who look to Wigan's big rise in crowds and Bulls' tail-off need look no further for a major explanation than the marketing budget made available to the marketing team. That is one of the massive advantages of having a wealthy owner.'"
Cant agree with you there squire, imo Wigans big rise in crowds is because of the rugby they are now playing as against some of the rubbish dished out under Noble, and all the fans what voted with their feet are now coming back because of the rugby played, and iirc its exactly the same players for both coaches'. If you want further comfirmation look no farther than Hudds to see that their wealthy owner has thrown good money at it and where are their crowds?

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Our marketing team are the best in super league, the RFL should use them IMO!
We are looking at 2 sell-outs this year along with another very healthy crowd against Cas for the rugby festival, along with great crowds we have already got.
Next year should be even better if we finish well, some of our crowds at the start of the year were poor really.
Average should be around 15-16k.
With more success on the field next year I think it will be pushed up to 17k.

What you've unsurprisingly missed is the relative starting points of the two clubs. Huddersfield crowds have actually more than doubled in the last 6 years or so.
So your point is totally flawed. Especially taking into account crowds under Noble at Wigan compare favourably to those prior to his arrival.

Its good for the club that its attendances have doubled in the past few years given the money spent by your owner, they could not have got much worse than they were. Given the fact that you have one of the best grounds in SL, your team are playing out of their skin with a top Coach in charge, discount entrance fees cheap ST etc there is not much more your owner can do yet your supporters still fail to turn up, KR in the cup was a classic example they brought more than you did. And as for Wigan similar ground similar everything except the one most important of them all they support their team in numbers what is your excuse? btw I see you still havent learned to spell

| Why do you make up stuff to try and prove an imaginary point?
Discount entrance fees? £20 on the gate, £18 pre-booked.
Discount season tickets? I paid £175 for mine.
KR brought more than us? Nope, although they did bring a very healthy 2,700 it is less than half the crowd.
Average gate this season >8,300. I'd worry about your own crowds seeing as they along with Cas, Salford, Quins, Les Catalans and Crusaders are all behind that figure this season.
As for Wigans crowd, well, as I pointed out in my last post you should compare the recent histories and gate figures.
Do yourself a favour. Crawl back in your hole stick to topics you have half a clue about. I include spelling in that.

| So doubling attendences isnt doing much is it?
chissitt you're an idiot (yes, I think thats the correct spelling) who knows next to nothing and takes less than that into account.
No one in Huddersfield says our crowds are good, then again no one in Huddersfield says we have finished working on them growing yet either but we can still say that they are growing...and while they are playing well (though there are plenty about here still say they are a boring, spoiling team...) they still havent won anything, and nothing gets bums on seats like real, tangible success.
But Hudds are doing ok, in the scheme of things. Other clubs maybe have to ask why they arent getting full houses each week, or maybe should ask where their tens of thousands of fans have gone now.
Actually, well said Danril

3,176 is the average for SL this season (for some reason, the cup game v Wakey has popped up in there as well)
The attendances given on slstats.org are normally pretty correct, but I do check them against other reports.'"
Cheers for the explanation but I'll pass on the colourful spreadsheet

And your point is what exactly? other than to throw insults at me, of course they are doing well if you clear the red mist away from your eyes you will see that I have pointed that out. The only thing I am saying is that for what your MD has thrown at the club financially your support is abysmal, hope that is clear enough for you. Oh and btw please dont lower your standards to that of your neighbour by reigning insults at me if you cant reply without abuse then please dont bother, btw your spelling is a credit to you squire.

You do of course realise that the word you've highlighted and are inferring to as an example of poor spelling is actually the correct spelling, don't you? No? Oh dear, rlunsurprisingly not!rl
You are just sniping at the club. You're transparent. We can all snipe, some of us though have much more to work with than others which goes some way to explaining why you have to make up your material.
Stick a fork in him someone, he's done.

500 taken off both the south and north stands though. So more like 24k.
