The game itself is more important to me than what league Wakey are in, I'll go watch em at any level. We could get relegated any year, it's pure luck and determination that it hasn't already happened.

| Quote: IR80 "Yup, we need ALL SL clubs to adopt the Saracens model (which is pretty much what Toronto are seeking permission to do!)'"
Hyperbole much.
Toronto are seeking a dispensation. Saracans went out of their way to deliberately cheat the system with clever accounting. Not only that but they then refused to even open their books for examination.
How exactly it is that the same thing?

I agree and I also have nothing against Wakefield. Some people just hold Toronto to a higher standard for reasons I don't understand, whilst overlooking the shortcomings of their own clubs (not you btw).

I would list them but Trinity has already given you some answers and can see that you've dismissed what was provided.
Toronto has negatives, but anyone can see that they have done extremely well in their four years of existence.

| Quote: Donnyman "Since when was promoting TWP and demoting London Broncos "expansion"?
Perez's own definition of TWP's expansion was to provide additional SL quality players to the game and more TV money.
They did neither. There is no beneficial "expansion" only a detrimental expansion of travelling costs inc. accommodation costs?
Why don't you get this? Why doesn't Danny Lockwood or Martyn Sadler get this?'"
1. Why does everything Toronto related come down to how the English can benefit from them? Imo it should be ''how can we help you, so down the road, you can help us?"'
2. Perez left ages ago. Whatever he said is now irrelevant unfortunately.
3. Maybe in Sadler's case as a journalist, he is privy to info that you and I don't have, therefore his opinion might be correct and demand more authority than any of our opinions?

Perez was the company spokesman speaking on behalf of the owner David Argyle, in terms of Perez leaving Brian McDermott replaced him as the company spokesman especially when he came out late last year and on behalf of the owner Argylle admitted that TWP's targets of NA players and paying NA TV deal had not been met and would not be met. Your post is just pure trolling or alternatively ignorance of the facts, you choose.
This failed project was only promoted because the current contract between the RFL and SL does not allow SL to pick and choose who they want in until 2022, otherwise TWP would be out now as SL bosses were clear they were not wanted.I Post this for the sake of truth and clarity for others........... not for you.

I'm clearly not trolling, when I state something that actually took place. Just because I don't agree with you at the moment, does not make me ignorant, so you can stop the personal insults please.

| I find it funny how some want to hang onto "promises" or quotes made by Toronto and then try pick a 4 year old club apart.
Why don't we just take a look closer to home regarding promises before you pick out one club.
I'm still waiting for the new stadiums.
Castleford still waiting. Wakefield still waiting.
Years after clubs were told to get new stadiums.

Plus, they would be adding a whole load of extra travel to what is likely to be a tight itinerary.'"
Once again you seem to have got it bang on right.
TWP were no test for Castleford who put the cue on the Rack after 50 minutes.

You would expect that Toronto will be a little more up to speed towards the end of the season than they were for game 1 and If the Aussies just want a run out and freshen up their moves, Toronto could be the ideal opposition.
Also, I know that the plus side and Toronto aren't things that you want to see, playing Australia, THE best RL side in the world IS a great draw and one thing that Toronto have done pretty well at, is to put bums on seats and what a great chance to show off RL to a "virgin" RL nation.

Has it been confirmed that the game is happening?

No.
Put it down in the confirmed column next to "The London Series" or the games in Amsterdam, Dublin and Belgrade.

Have you forgotten TWP have been barred from adding any more senior players to their small squad? So don't you think that 30 games later these lads will be far from "up to speed"?
It will be the case they'll be carrying a lot of injuries, and would be very tired at the end of the season and likely to capitulate against top class powerfull Aussie professionals who will all be fit, or they won't be picked for the tour.
Remember Toronto contain championship level lads who get SL money, but that won't make them competitive with Australia. Australia need a testing run out not a walkover, Jeez TWP were fresh when Cas shoved 24 points up them to have the game won by half time.
Are you not aware that the TWP modus operandi is to talk big, but never follow any of it up.
