| I hate trailers that have absolutely no gameplay in them at all. The animation looks horrific still, there is no impact engine, it's just set animations being triggered.
I just hope they sort the problem with the players all being attached to each other, so if one player in the line moves to the side, they all mimick him, it made the early games look and feel horrendous.
Is there any confirmation as to which angle the camera is going to be from? i.e behind the sticks or at the side of the pitch. The previous games were all behind the sticks, but the union game was from the side, and was apparently a lot better.

I'm pretty certain that in the last edition you could change the camera angle to the side.

You've been able to do it in them all.

| Just played the original for the first time in ages and came up with a few things I want to see in the new one:
- The AI not being able to offload in impossible situations
- The AI not being able to intercept from impossible situations
- The AI not being able to kick a penalty into the wind from inside their own 20 and find touch in your 20. It just doesn't happen.

Sounds like you were playing on a too high difficulty level.

| Few things id like to see;
No random knock ons which can gift the game to the opposition in the last 5 minutes - Often in the old game you could play sensible RL with drives out your own half, with players who werent fatigued who would just randomly knock on and it was often better just to play hotball with the ball - Should be the opposite to this for me....more risky passess, if you dont get right, should increase the chances of k/ons.
Also - When you break and pass to a supporting player, the player needs to catch the ball with the same momentum and not take it standing still...in the old games theres no point in using your support as they just stop and get tackled!
would also like to see less random high tackles...again should increase chances with more aggression and no random jumping of the ball to a player nowhere near it when theres another player closer!

| The problem is that with so many people playing games like Fifa and Madden which have fantastic modern gameplay, people expect the same from RLL. It just isn't going to happen. If we had a RL game with the gameplay of Madden it would be unreal, but not enough money gets invested, it is just a shame that technology can't be used on a RL game so that it feels like Madden and Fifa.
The best we can hope for is decent graphics, better gameplay than the last game (as some people have highlighted problems)... and then a decent career and online mode where you can sign players etc.
You may as well stop dreaming about a game with few problems, it will still have tons of problems. Even FIFA does still have problems and they have been developing it for 20 years!

| Good to see the biggest problems I had in the first game were the first things to be addressed. Short passes were pretty crippling because they would stop running as it switched control, and I had to switch the commentary off after about a game and a half - listening to the same stupid phrases over and over, it was like watching Sky with only Stevo commentating...
The players out of position thing I didn't see mentioned, though, which always bugged me - why were my centres always in the middle of the pitch and the props out by the edges? I know the backs come in and help out early in the set, but on the last tackle it's hard to take advantage of an overlap made entirely of slow lumbering forwards.

I'm not sure how impartial that review is. I'll reserve judgement for the time being.

It's smarmy-positive which is the worst kind. There are no negatives in it at all. The game will no doubt be an improvement on the previous games, but it won't be 'good', it's just the subject matter that will make most buy it, to support the concept of a league game. The developer's back catalogue is very poor and the previous league games were simply awful. I don't blame the developer, they are in a viscious cycle. Their games have little investment, sell poorly and generate little revenue. Without a big games company investing in it, there is no chance of it ever turning into anything genuinely worth playing.
Our best hope of ever getting a semi decent RL game is for one of the bigger developers to butcher an existing sports game engine and dish it out as an Xbox Live Arcade/PSN game.
