my favourite Barry Mac moment was in a thursday night game last season when trying to explain tactics - he came out with "well Bill,it's not rocket surgery".........

the other one I recall from Barry Mac (maybe it's well known 'up north' ?) is the expression "Meat Pie" (try) then followed by "with chips" (plus conversion).

"it's time to put up the tent and park the camels" (game over,play for time) or,

Good, entertaining thread. Here are my personal faves/gripes:

1. Stevo's pronunciation of 'super'.

2. Everytime Eddie asks Stevo a question in the studio and he begins answering him and then turns to face the camera, as if he's having the conversation with the viewer.

3. Eddie is getting annoying with his "mana from heaven" quip.

5. Everytime a decision is referred 'upstairs', Eddie likes to chip in with, "those 3 little words - benefit of the doubt".



6. (insert proficient goalkicker) doesn't miss these!

Stevo, just after any form of biff - "He didn't miss!"

The biffee walks away, unscathed - "He is one tough hombre."

at the meerest hint of aggro between players Stevo always comes out with "it's getting a bit tasty out there"..........he's like the rest of us,dying for a punch up !

Well, we don't need this in our game!

that freaks me out everytime! phil clarke is much worse for it, when he turns to the camera, chin slightly down, looking at you sideways as his head turns - its like a hungry Apex predator catching you in his sights and deciding you would be a tasty meal!
again i should point out, it was not my intention so start a thread about how annoying stevo is, more an appreciation of his and the teams idiosyncrasies.

Any team trailing in the game that concedes a penalty can be said to be "losing the plot".
