There is an hour long programme on national radio tonight and the Four Nations coverage is regularly plugged on 5live for the last couple of weeks.'"
The blue banner is hardly anything exciting, i was more referring to actual news stories, build up etc.
I wasnt saying that Slater winning the award should be a big story. There has been nothing this week, hardly any build up, the RL section should be rammed with news stories every day, that is why i questioned why there is hardly any. If you don't follow League, you wouldnt have a clue that Eng play Aus.
When i worked from home yesterday there was hardly anything on Sky Sports News yet they cover the Olympics for 10 minutes per hour.
If the TV and websites had some build up/content then that would help shift tickets.

That'll be because far more people are interested and will watch the 6 Nations and which the BBC have exclusive rights to.

Again, what do you want them to do? What news stories should be packing the RL section? The only news stories has been a bit of whinging from the Aussies about the ref and the player awards. Both have been reported in the RL sections. Also, if you don't follow League, then why would you be checking the League section of a website?
There have been adverts on Sky Sports, adverts and a special programme on 5Live, and it mentioned on the BBC Sport homepage. For a game that you think should be held at somewhere the size of Elland Road that's not too bad is it? When combined with the RFL advertising?
If there is no news then why should news outlets report anything? Plus I think you'll find that the Olympics are slightly larger and generate slightly more interest across the country than the 4 Nations which has no news to currently report.

You are so narrow minded, dont ever think of starting your own company.
The RFL should be pushing out stories, interviews, getting SSN news at training etc etc. Wow the BBC have one story per day this week, one about Slater one about a kiwi making his debut, that really is information overload.
As for people that don't follow league, the people we should also trying to attract, did i say they should be checking the RL section, no, they should be noticing interviews, adverts, on TV. I follow league and all i see is a blink and you miss it thing on Sky Sports.
The Olympics aren't happening this weekend and surely RL could have gotten more airtime on SSN this week. I know about the Olympics and not interested in someone doing x, y & z events in it, but you know what, i have learnt more about them this week than i would have about Eng v Aus!

I bought 6 tickets and 3 people have backed out so regarding the 3 remaining tickets, if you know of someone that would like to watch the game and doesn't have much cash (kids or students etc) then i will happily give the tickets away, i would rather do this than have no-one sat in the seats.'"
A nice gesture that mate, fair play to you.

Most international sport is well supported by the fan base. RL internationals are not to put some perspective on this the first two rounds of this 4 Nations will have attracted about 65k for four games with a lot of marketing and tremendous value tickets what other event at wembley could you see the best 3 professional national teams in the world for 10 GBP ?
The six nations is a bit different it is the longest running international competition of any football code and is extremely popular comparing it with a competition that even the RL community are fairly apathetic about is not a good comparison. The viewing figures (if you believe them)for the england vs Wales game was on a par challenge cup games. Regarding lack of stories that is not the fault of Sky and BBC if you look at the news feeds of the various news agencies there are more news stories related to club RL than there is about the 4 Nations.

But you are making things up or grossly exaggerating situations. According to your Olympics was getting about 25% of the broadcast time on Sky Sports News, which is strange because that would have left very little time to cover such things as review of Tuesday night CL games, the JohnTerry saga, upcoming CL games for wednesday evening, Cricket's match fixing in court, Andy Murray Raphael Nadal's injuries. That said the Olympics is the world's largest sporting occasion covering 300 events and over 30 sports with tickets hard to come by.

Have you been watching the SSN Olympics diaries? They show them training and then they even get them in the studio to interview for 5 minutes, so i am not making it up.

| If any students want 2 tickets on the half way line (Face value £10 ea.) then please give us a message, we decided we'd go in Club Wembley instead of just the half way line, so if anyone wants to have the tickets you can have them for £15 for the pair.

Awesome stuff
I just had a look on the Wembley page for this game. Someone from Wembley replied to a fan saying that tickets will be available on the day. I wonder if other blocks have been opened that aren't on the site.

Do you mean the diaries of the 11 athletes that have received Sky Sports Scholarships? Its a bit like cycling, it receives a disproportionate amount of air time on SSN due to Sky sponsoring a team.
These diaries have been shown in the last few minutes of the hour, not exactly dominating the programme.
The trial of the Pakistani cricketers has dominated SSN this week, and this is a Champions League week.
